Good morning and welcome to another Fantabulous Friday!
I'm so happy that you stopped by today and hope you will enjoy today's exploration of.....
Paisley.
This week's challenge here at FCCB is going to be fun:
Weather Forecast:
Make a project featuring your favorite seasonal weather (Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter).
After reading this, all I could think was SPRING, SPRING, SPRING!
I am soooo ready for spring!
Living here in LA...(ok, so it's really Lower Alabama), we don't actually get a lot of "spring".
Our longest season seems to be summer...which here in LA is hot and humid...make-up melting humid!
Fall is great while it's here, but it usually doesn't cool off enough to feel like fall until about mid-October.
Colder winter weather doesn't arrive until late December or January and is usually rainy and wet.
Then...finally...SPRING arrives!
Keeping this week's challenge in mind, I looked through my cartridges to see what put me in a "spring-time" frame of mind. Once I picked up my Paisley cartridge, the search was over! The images on the box just shout SPRING with all their bright colors and cute details!
This is a fun cartridge to work with and has some fun Creative Features:
*Layers
*Button
*Card/Tab
*Word/Word Blackout
*Shadow/Word Shadow
Ok...let me show you a sweet card I made using this cartridge...
For this card, I used the sweet little umbrella on page 48, cut at 4 1/2 inches. I love the butterfly! Adding some stitching lines with a gel pen and a bit of bling really gives the card a finished look...easy peasy!

My next project using the Paisley cartridge incorporates more of the Creative Features...
I love all the bright, cheerful, spring-time colors in this layout!
*On this page, I used the Word Feature and the Word Shadow Feature to create my "beautiful" title.
*The little butterfly is from the Button Feature on page 49. I cut it twice at 1 inch and 1 /14 inches and layered it to add a bit of dimension.
*And I love, love, love these mushrooms! How cute are they? I used the Shadow Feature on these cuts along with some pop-dots to make them stand out against the page...
On to the second page....
*Again, I used the Word Feature and the Word Shadow Feature to create my "fabulous" title.
*After putting that cute little snail together, I used the Shadow Feature to pop him up.
*I used the Button Feature from page 38 to create that gorgeous flower on the journaling pocket.
I cut the flower 3 times and layered it all together. I love how it turned out!
And the dragonfly....
How cute is he?
*This little guy can be found on page 26. Using the Shadow Feature, some pop dots and a bit of bling has him just dancing through the air!
**************
I also came across a wonderful video that really helped me understand how to use the Card/Tab
Ok...that about wraps things up for this Fantabulous Friday! Get busy with those weather related projects and post them in this week's challenge. I always love seeing what you create!
