Good Morning and welcome to another Fantabulous Friday!
This card shows off some of the great options on this cartridge. If you look through your handbook, you will notice that there are several options on each page. For example, the lace cut I used behind the word HOPE is on page 28. There are 3 different lace cuts on that one page, not to mention the shadows...this adds up to a lot of choices...which is a very good thing...we like choices!
I am one of those crafters who does not own the "Pink Journey" cartridge....so I used the old trick of cutting the & sign and snipping off the ends. This technique works great with the font on Paper Lace! This was a simple, quick project. I cut the & sign from pink vinyl at 7 1/2 inches, added some bling, some ribbon,
plug 'er in and all done! Easy- peasy as my granddaughter would say!
Ok...I think I promised something for scrapbookers too huh? Ok...you know those beautiful lacey cutout pages that you can find at the scrapping stores? The ones that run anywhere between 3 and 5 bucks for one page? Know the ones I'm talking about? Well, how about making you own?
I made this page using the Lace 1 option from page 22...again there are 3 different lace options on this page. I cut the shadow feature first using the Fit to Page button and it cut at 9 1/4 inches. I then cut the Lace feature with my setting at 9 1/4". Then I mounted it all to a background page. I think this turned out so pretty! I plan on using this in my grandson Blake's scrapbook....the one that is only a year and a half behind!
The shadow feature on this cart would be great for labels, tags or background mats to stamp your sentiments. Here's yet another option from Tammy at So Happy Scrappin'. Tammy used her Gypsy to weld together 2 shadows and created this wonderful card. You can see more details on Tammy's blog HERE.

Well, that about wraps it up for today.
Paper Lace is one of those cartridges that really deserves a few minutes of your "browsing time". Sit down with a cup of coffee or Diet Coke (caffeine of your choice) and take time to look through the handbook. Then come back and leave me a comment with a link to your creation...I can't wait to see what you come up with. I know it will be great!
Until next time....

ReplyDeleteYour projects are beautiful! I always seem to have trouble with those intricate cuts. I love your tip on using the & sign to make a causes ribbon though! I'm definitely going to keep that one in mind!
