Spotlight Sunday

Welcome to Spotlight Sunday!
We will be taking a break from spotlighting guest designers for a while as we would love to introduce you to our Fantabulous Cricut Design Team. We are so excited to have such talented designers showcasing their work here at FCCB!
Today we are spotlighting two “fantabulously” talented ladies.
Let me, first, introduce to you to Audrey from Audrey’s Cards by Design.

1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting? Why?

I started over 6+ years ago, making cards, then added paper quilling, organimi folding and iris folding to name a few.
2. What is your favorite type of project to make?

At the moment cards although I love to quill.
3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects?

There are many but I LOVE my Cricut. I received it as a gift from a dear friend and I use it every day!
4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?

I can only name one? Well I guess it would have to be mmmmm… Heritage, if I have to pick just one.
5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?

I enjoy reading,, knitting and crochet, sew, composing the sentiments that I write in my cards, I love to write poetry
6. Any other info you would like us to know about you.

I am married to my best friend who is the kindest man in the world. We retired to Chapala Mexico over 4 years ago and love it here. I am involved with a local children's shelter and also a feeding ministry. I know that God has a specific purpose and plan for my life and that my coming to Mexico is part of that plan. I am thrilled to be on this Design Team. God Bless.

Now let me introduce to you to Barb from BugBites.

1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting? Why?

I really dove into scrapbooking about 6 years ago. It all started when my friend invited me to a Saturday Scrap day-my love of scrapping launch with mega g-forces.
I have been crafting in general for as long as I can remember. My mom and I have always done crafts; crocheting, painting, candy making, macramé- yes I am dating myself now, plus many other types of crafts. I even worked for a craft store for 2 years which was very dangerous budget wise.
2. What is your favorite type of project to make?

I like it all! I have only been making cards for about the last year with most of them made in the last 6 months. This is thanks to my aunt Roxy. She is the queen of cards and has been making cards for many years. I really enjoy working on my photo albums and the pages for them- it's so totally different than a card. But I would say my favorite is doing recipe layouts. I love exchanging recipes with friends and making my favorites into 8x8 layouts. My friends and I even do recipe swaps with the 8x8 layouts. It's a great way to collect some great recipes and have a cool recipe book on the shelf.
3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects?

Gosh- do I have to pick one? I recently found I use my white gel pen on almost everything. So besides that, I would say Chalks. I love how it can add a bit of life and dimension to any project. Right behind that is stickles- love the sparkle.
4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?

I have many favorites.... Life's a Beach and Create- a-Critter. But my absolute favorite would be Paper Doll Dress Up. It has so many things on it for so many different types of projects plus I get to use my Peachy Keen stamps for the faces.
5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?

Being from Minnesota, most of us love hockey. My family has season tickets to a local college hockey team so that fills quite a few of the winter weekends. In the warmer months I enjoy working in my yard and my perennial beds.
6. Any other info you would like us to know about you.

I always find time to fit in a few weekends throughout the year to do scrapbook retreats with my friends and of course a little TV or should I say TIVO.
My husband and son are both really supportive of my scrappy habit and help with all the necessary things that have to get done around the house so that I can scrap more.
I don't have too much free time since I do work full time as a corporate meeting planner so I am traveling for work quite a bit.
But scrapping is what I love to do any minute I can find, even on the road!
