Fantabulous Friday - Kate's ABC's

Hello and welcome to another Fantabulous Friday!
It's great to have you join us today and I hope you will enjoy this week's cartridge exploration.
Our challenge this week at FCCB has been a fun one, and if you haven't already joined in the fun,
it's not too late. You just need to .....

"Do the Bunny Hop"
Create project using a bunny or a chick on it.

I finally got my hands on the Kate's ABC's cartridge (I'm so excited about this cart) and after flipping through the pages of the handbook, I knew it would be perfect for this week's challenge.
The Creative Features of this cartridge are...
*Layer 1
*Layer 2
*Phrase
*Baby Girl Font 1
*Baby Girl Font 2
*Baby Girl Font 2 Shadow
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had so much fun making a couple of Easter projects with this sweet cartridge.
Let me show you my card...
This adorable little girl is from page 58 in the handbook.
This cut was made at 3 1/2 inches.
There are so many wonderful layers and details on the images from this cartridge that you can leave it just as it is and the image looks great. But you know...I had to add a bit of bling! Just some inking, pearls around the hem and sleeve of her dress and a few gems for the flowers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My next Easter project started out as a plain paper mache box that I painted a lovely shade of blue.
I can't tell you the shade of this particular blue because I grabbed several (almost empty) bottles of paint that held various shades of blue and dumped them into a container with ivory colored paint. As my Emma says,
"you get what you get and you don't pitch a fit"!
After painting the inside and outside of the box, it was time for the fun to begin!
I love the way it turned out...

That sweet little bunny is from page 34 and is cut at 4 inches.
I used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder for the bunny and inked up all the edges.
Those cute little mats under the bunny are cut using the Baby Girl Font 1. Look at the last few pages in your handbook and you will find these great solid squares that make wonderful mats! I cut 2 of the plaid mats at 4 and 3/4 inches and used pop-dots between them. The white mat is cut at 5 inches and was also run through my Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Using the Baby Girl Font 2 and Baby Girl Font 2 Shadow at one inch, I added Emma's name to the side of the box. The other 3 sides are decorated with butterflies and flowers found on pages 55 and 66.
Don't you just love the pom-poms?

While this cartridge has some adorable images for little girls, it works great for big girls also.
Look what I found while I playing around on the computer doing research for this project....

Isn't this gorgeous? Just look at all the layers on that flower!
This lovely card was created by Jo at I'd Rather Be Making Cards. I hope you will pay Jo a visit, she
has so many lovely creations to share with you!
