Fantabulous Friday - Spring Holiday Cards

Good morning, are you happy that it's Friday? I am!
I always look forward to Fantabulous Friday and the opportunity to share a new cartridge with you.

I hope that you have had a chance to check out our challenge for this week...
Challenge #53 Looks Like Spring
Create project using any spring time theme.

Doesn't that sound like fun? With spring on my mind, I went straight to one of my newest (yet untried) cartridges....Spring Holiday Cards. This is one of the seasonal cartridges released earlier this year.
Let's check out what it has to offer:
* 30 spring-themed cards
* 10 background mats
* 3 envelope styles
* 3 box styles

The boxes looked really cute and I was in need of gifts for Emma's teachers...sssoooo...
Now, I ask you...how cute is that?
For these boxes, I set my Cricut at "Fit to Page". The purple box (treat box 2) cut at 5 inches and the pink box (treat box 3) cut at 4 1/2 inches. A bit of doodling with a white gel pen and a few embellishments really adds a nice touch to these simple little boxes. (The chocolate candy inside doesn't hurt either)

Next, I wanted to try making a couple of cards with matching envelopes.
When using "Fit to Page", the envelopes cut at 4 1/2 inches.

With a few embellishments, these turned out really cute!
Every once in awhile, I stick a note in Emma's lunch box to surprise her while she's at school.
These little notecards are the perfect size to tuck away in a lunch box, under a pillow or just about anywhere!

I decided to go "all-out" on my next card...full size (5 X 7) with lots of layers and goodies...

This card just makes me smile!
These cards really start off simple, but by adding a few elements, you can really make them special!
I inked up all the edges and added wiggle eyes to the flowers. I used my gel pen around the flowers and stems. Then I added cute little flower brads in each corner and the bright orange ribbon was the finishing touch! And there you go...very bright and happy, perfect for spring!

There are also some great Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day cards on this cartridge.
Here's a great Valentine's Day from Tammy at So Happy Scrappin'.
Isn't this just adorable?

And here's a great St. Patrick's Day card from Jeannine at Just Doin' What I Love.
Too cute!

I hope you have enjoyed exploring this fun little cartridge with me!
As always, thanks for spending a few minutes with me on this Fantabulous Friday!
Until next time,
