Spotlight Sunday

Welcome to Spotlight Sunday!
Today we will be spotlighting one of Fantabulous Cricut’s newest designers.
Let me introduce to you to Sabrina from Scrappin’ with Sabrina.

Before we show you some of Sabrina’s incredible creations we thought you would like to get to know her a little better. We asked her a few crafty questions.
1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting? Why?
I made my first scrapbook back in 1997 when I got married. I used the photos from the disposable cameras we put out on the guest tables. I used lots of mis-matched stickers and as many decorative edge scissors that I could, LOL! Needless to say, it's fun to look back and see how I've progressed (thank goodness!) I didn't scrapbook for many years after that. Eight years ago when my son Tristan was four, I started back up with his baby book. And it's been non-stop ever since!
2. What is your favorite type of project to make (i.e. cards, LO, mini-albums, etc.)?
Scrapbook pages are my first choice because I feel it's important for me to keep up on our family memories. I make one book per year, and we love looking back at the scrapbooks from years past. However, cards are a very close second. I started making cards about a year and a half ago, when my friend invited me to a Stampin' Up card party. I fell in love with making cards and have been enjoying that too. I enjoy mini-books too, but haven't made too many of those.
3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects?
As a real girly-girl, I love bling, flowers, and sparkle! Even though I don't have any girls, I have gotten creative in ways to incorporate those elements into my scrapbook pages! When making cards, I usually have some type of bling or flower on them (unless they are for a male.)
4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?
Hmmm, that's a hard one! My favorite font cartridge I think would be Don Juan. It came with my Create and it's such a good basic unicase font. For a shaped cartridge, I love Create a Critter. Those little animals are just too cute! Sweet Treats is also a favorite, as it's perfect for birthday cards and layouts.
5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?
I love spending time with my family and friends. I love walking, reading blogs, paper craft web-sites, and paper craft magazines.
Any other info you would like us to know about you:
I love the crafty blog world I have found! I have made some awesome crafty friends who are so supportive and encouraging, and I appreciate them all!

  8. Sabrina's creations are girly-girl yet a very sophisticated one and eye catching. I particularly love the card with boots in it and the girl riding the bicycle. The designs are perfect! And like Sabrina, I also started paper designing with scrapbooking. What makes scrapbooking nice is the fact that you are not simply designing things, you are preserving memories. :)
