Cricut Craft Room: Coloring Images

Good morning everyone!  This is Missy here again with another Cricut Craft Room tutorial.  This week we're going to talk about coloring in our images on our mat as we're working with them.  I think there are probably  many reasons why this would come in handy, but the thing I use it the most for is mass producing images.  This feature helps me keep myself straight as far as which color of paper to use on my  mat.

Let's say I was going to cu several of these houses from the Jolly Holidays cartridge.  I know I want the base layer of my house to be brown, so I'll want to use brown paper.  On my mat, I can color that image in brown, to help myself remember.  Here I have several of my houses that I colored brown laid out on my mat.

The next layer of my house I want to be red.  Here's a bunch of them on my  mat that I colored in red.

Here's how I did that.  If you look on the tab for the layer you're working with, you will see a little down arrow button on the right hand side of the tab.  Click on that, and you see this drop down menu.

Click on the word "Color".  After you do that, you will see some color options and the color wheel.  It looks like this.

Select the color you want by either clicking on the little circles on the left, or you can customize your color by using the color wheel.  After you choose the color you want for that layer, click "Apply" at the bottom.

And there you have it, you've colored the images on that layer!!  Each layer can be customized, which is really nice.  A little reminder from last week...remember, you can only see the layer you're working with when the green eyeball is showing.  If you want to either see a layer, or hide it, click that little eye ball on and off and you'll get what you want.

Thanks so much for stopping by today...I'll see you back here in 2 weeks with some more fun with Cricut Craft Room!!!
