Thursday Tutorial - Fabric Flower

Hello! Rachel here again from Cricut with Heart to share another Thursday Tutorial with you.  Thanks for the nice comments on my post from last week!  I hope you had fun making some shaped cards :)

Today, I wanted to share how I made a fabric flower for some cards I made a while back.  I wanted some dimension, but not too much since I still wanted the card to fit in the envelope.  Here is how it turned out.
To make this flower, I cut out 4 circles at 1 1/2" from both black tulle, and fabric.  Layer a circle of tulle with a circle of fabric and fold it in half. Then fold it in half again to form a triangle shape.  Make another triangle shape with fabric and tulle and place two of these triangles onto half of a 1" circle base.  Staple these to the base. I used the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.
Repeat these steps with the other two pieces on the other side of the base circle.
I used some Liquid Glass in the center to add my clear acrylic flower embellishment.
Then I inked the edges, and I was done!
I hope you'll enjoy making these easy No-Sew Fabric Flowers!

Happy Crafting!

  2. This is so cute. I will try this. I like the dimensional flowers, but like you said they will not fit an envelope to mail. This would be perfect. Thanks for sharing.
