Thursday Tutorial - Cutting Fabric with the Cricut!

Rachel here from Cricut with Heart to say both Hello and Goodbye today!  This is my final Thursday Tutorial as a DT Member here on FCCB, and I've had such a fun time here with all you creative ladies!!

Unfortunately, I'm not able to continue on with the team due to time constraints but I will continue to be a fan and will participate in challenges when I can.  I'd like to extend my congratulations to all the Fantabulous new DT members and look forward to enjoying their creativity.

While I'm sad to be leaving the team, I have to let you in on a fun fact which makes me very happy: I'm in Disney World right now at the Close to My Heart Convention!  If you have visited my blog, you know that I am a CTMH Independent Consultant, and I get such a thrill out of going to the annual conventions.  This year, I'll have three of my team members joining me, so we decided to use our Cricuts to make some matching shirts to wear!  It was really fun and easy!

Here is how the back of the shirt turned out:
On the front, we put each of our initials!  Here's mine:
To make these, we used the Disney Font cartridge to cut out the ears with letters and the numbers, and then we cut out the red bow from Mickey and Friends.

You'll start by ironing on some Heat and Bond material to the wrong side of your fabric, then place this onto the cutting mat fabric side down.

You'll have to use the Flip key when cutting since this is the back side.

Here is the back of our red fabric when we cut it out.

Here is how it looked flipped over.

When you pull off the paper, you'll see the adhesive.

Simply lay it down right side up on your shirt.  Here is my team member Brenda arranging her shirt.

And then she irons it down for about 10 seconds!

It's that easy!  I can't wait to get a picture of us all together wearing our fun Cricut made t-shirts.  In fact, I even made these matching frames as gifts to Brenda, Jenny-Jo, and Monty, so we can put our pictures in them.  I used the CTMH Black Glitter paper to make these and I really love how sparkly they turned out!  This also goes along with our FCCB Frame It challenge this week, so I hope it inspires you to play along!
Thanks again for a wonderful run as an FCCB DT member, and big hugs to all the new ladies joining the team!
Happy Crafting!
