Spotlight Sunday

This week our Guest Desiger At FCCB is

 Suzanne Webster-Lowrie

Suzanne's blog is Scrapbooking Sue.  You can find her on several internet sites such as facebook, twitter, You Tube and Pintrest.  She has been a Close to My Heart Independant Consultant "off and on for 10 years" and a "Papercrafter Extrordinare".

Let's get to know her a little better and see some of  her Cricut creations. Suzanne is a wife to her High School sweetheart and the mother of two children.  Her profession is a Registered Nurse and educator.  She is an avid scrapbooker and paper crafter.

These cards where made using Art Philosphy and Artbooking cartridges.

You may remember this "Yummy" confection picked by the  Design Team as one of our Top 5.

Here are her responses to the Guest Deisnger questionaire.
1. When did you start scrapbooking/papercrafting and why?
I began scrapbooking in 1998 after my first child was born.  My mother-in-law gave me a simple baby-themed scrapbooking kit filled with lovely pages and stickers.  After putting that kit together, I was hooked!
I could not believe that memories could be preserved in such a beautiful way.  In 2003, I joined Close to My Heart as an Independant Consultant and was introduced to the world of stamping.  Adding stamps to my craft encouraged me to venture off the page and I began creating cards, journals and eventually 3-D items.  When I purchased my first Cricut machine (not that long ago for how long I have been papercrafting!).  I was amazed at the endless possibilites of what I could potentially create!  I still feel like a kid in a candy store every time I learn a new technique, or I am introduced to a new product that I find fun to work with!

2. What is your favorite type of project to make (ie cards, layouts, mini-albums, etc.)?
Up until last year, I would say that my favorite type of project to create were scrapbook pages.  Although I still love to make my pages, my newest obsession is carkmaking. Cards can be put together so quickly, I love the satifaction of being able to create multiple projects in a short amout of time.  I have also started making a lot of altered items these days.  It is really hard to pick a favortite type of project beacause I just love it all!

3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects?
My favorite product to use on my projects is ink.  Even if I am not stamping an image, I LOVE to get out my sponges and fingertip daubers and get a little crazy with inking my edges and distressing my papers.  I almost exclusively use paper with a white core, so that the ink can stain the white portion of the paper when ripped, and my distressing tools can bring out the core in certain places.

4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?
There are so many I love!  If I had to pick only one, then it would have to be my go-to cartridge that I use the most frequently...it is the Art Philosophy cartridge.  Sine it has 700 images, I use this for all my basic and fancy shapes, tags, labels, cards and even 3-D items.

Help me welcome Suzanne by showing her some blogger love HERE and check in tomarrow to see what she has to share with us as the Guest Designer for our Monday Challenge.
Be sure to join us with your own creation.
