Quick Tip Tuesday: Little Letters

Welcome to Quick Tip Tuesday!  Today's tip is especially for those of you who do not own Design Studio or a Gypsy.  If you are working on a project, but need your letters smaller than 1", use a feature such as the signs on George and Basic Shapes or the squares on Tear Drop (or anything like that where the letters are inside another image).  By using one of those features to cut out your words, you can simply use the little letters to fit in your small space.

Here, I cut letters using the sign feature on George and Basic Shapes.  I cut the signs at 1.5".  (I always write "TOP" on my cutting mat.  I habitually arrange my papers in the wrong direction without that permanent reminder!!)

I then took the small letters out of the signs and glued them to a 1 inch scallop circle to make these little note cards.

Happy Crafting!

  6. OMG - I don't have a Gypsy, but have the George and Basics. What a brilliant idea. I have often wanted smaller than 1 inch letters. Thank you so much, although I have to admit I feel a little silly for not figuring this one out on my own : )

  8. What a great idea! Thanks!

I've had a gypsy for a few months now but I'm so used to manipulating my cricut cuts by hand that I always forget to use it.
