Spotlight Sunday

Good Morning Everyone,

Wow, it doesn't seem like it is July already. I hope everyone is having a great summer. This week we had such a fun challenge if you haven't had time to check it out yet I hope you'll take the time it will be well worth it. Now for this week our spotlight is on Tammy S. (great name lol) over at thepurplemuse. She does some amazing work and this past week she was announced as one of the new Design Team Members. We are very excited to have her on board. She does some amazing work.

Here is a card she took a Top 5 pick with.

Here are a few other creations I found on her blog.

Well it's time to get to know her better.

I began scrapbooking when I was in grade school. I received the old fashioned kind of scrapbook – large spiral bound book of plain pages with a decorative cover – from my aunt for a birthday present. I would save programs from ice shows I was in, my ribbons and medals from competitions, clippings from my favorite sport stars. I would save and glue all sorts of paper ephemera (probably not acid free) to my pages. In high school I added pictures of my friends (with regular tape – ugh!) and stapled my letters and chevrons to the pages. I didn’t really start the modern way of scrapbooking until after I had my first baby. A friend introduced me to one of her friends that had opened a scrapbook store in town. After one class and I was hooked! I hadn’t realized all of the papers and die-cuts and stickers that were available! I discovered a new creative outlet.
My favorite projects to work on are altered books. I feel so artistic when I use gesso, paints, and Pearl-Ex. It’s a craft where I can make a “mistake” and it looks like it’s art;-) Since having my third, and most active child, I have found that I haven’t had time to dabble with altering books. I stick mostly to things I can finish in an evening or two like cards and 8x8 layouts.
When looking at my blog, you’ll notice I like to use Stickles – a lot:-) I love that glittery, yumminess!  I even sneak in some Distressed Stickles on masculine cards – Thank You Tim Holtz!
My favorite Cricut Cartridge? Ohhhh, I can’t choose just one favorite Cricut cart. I would have to say my Kate’s Kitchen Imagine cart is I’ve started using a lot, though. I use George and AE a lot, also.
As a mom of three, there is no spare time. My two older children keep me busy driving to and from all of their “events” and my almost two year old just keeps me busy. If I had to answer truthfully what I do in my spare time, I would have to say, Sleep.
Thank You FCCB for spotlighting my site today. I hope everyone finds a little inspiration each visit.

Boy is she super busy but she finds time because everything is so cute. She is really talented and as I said before we are so happy to have her join us here on the Design Team. Thank you Tammy for letting us spotlight you today. Now you can hop on over to thepurplemuse and check out her other amazing creations. I am sure you will be inspired. Don't forget to stop back tomorrow for a new Challenge Me Monday.

Have a Fabulous Day!
See you tomorrow,
