Spotlight Sunday

Hello Everyone,

Today we have a really special Spotlight.  The spotlight is on two sisters that make up Craftin Desert Divas. They are Tara and April. These two sisters do some amazing work. First they took a top 5 pick with this card:

Here is some more inspiration I found on their blog:

If you like Halloween Cards and need some inspiration these two girls have lots on their blog. Like I said before they do some amazing work.

Well lets get to know Tara and April a little better.

1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why? We both started scrapbooking together about a year after my first daughter was born. April decided since her son was 9 that it was time for her to get scrappin! Since it was my first daughter and April's only child we thought it would be fun to see how creative we could be on capturing all their special moments.
2. What is your favorite type of project to make (i.e., cards, layouts, mini-albums, etc....)?After a few years of scrapbooking we stumbled upon a Cricut machine. We both decided to change things up and give card making a try, so far so good.
3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects? I like any type of glitter products, the more sparkle the better! April really enjoys using lots of rhinestones. As you can tell bling is our thing.
4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge? April's favorite is County Fair it reminds her of when we were kids growing up in the country. Tara's is Create A Critter as I always find myself using this more than others. Although we both just picked one there are many others that we enjoy using.
5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting? We both enjoy shopping especially for our homes. We both love to decorate, rearrange and see what new projects we can do around the house.
Any other information you would like us to know about you? We both grew up in Michigan. Tara was the first to move out to Arizona about 21 years ago. April and her family came out 10 years after. We are now just waiting for our parents to make the big move this upcoming year. We are a close knit family that spends lots of time together. We enjoy having family cookouts, hanging out watching movies, doing fun activities with the kids like roller skating, swimming and going to the movie theatre and of course lots of crafting!

Well I hope everything works out for their parents this year. Now if you have not been to their blog you need to check it out. The inspiration you receive from a visit is worth it.  Also Tara is our Guest Designer for tomorrow on a new Challenge Me Monday. So stop back and see what the amazing design team and Tara have in store for you.

Happy Crafting,
