Thursday Tutorial - Cuttlebug Embossing Folders

Hello Crafters!
I can't believe it's Thursday already & October at that!
If you're a crafter like me, then you have many "collections" of scrapbook supplies.
One of my latest (over the last year) loves is embossing, which means I collect embossing folders!
I guess I've been out of the loop, I pinned "how to make your own embossing folder" but didn't get into it more than that.
As the Thursday Tutorial gal, I watch a lot of YouTube videos & learned a thing or 2!
Cricut makes a convenient kit to make your own embossing folder.
Here's a tutorial using the kit as well as a mini tutorial on your Expression.

I was slightly distracted by the necklace! LOL
So I searched & didn't find the kits to be any cheaper than an actual embossing folder.
To me that's the point of doing it yourself, well other than getting to make exactly what you want, but you know what I mean.
So then I came across this video!

I really like this idea & want to run with it!
In fact I'm headed down to my room right now. So if all goes well & timely then I will post the results below, if not (I'm a procrastinator & it's Wednesday night!) then I'll post about it next Thursday.

I'm back & it was a success!

Here's my embossing folder & the results.

If you'd like to see the finished project, check out my blog on Saturday!

I will post the details of this project, how I designed it on my Gypsy, cut it on My Expression & then made the actual folder, on the next Thursday Tutorial.

Thanks for checking out the Thursday Tutorial post!

  4. I tried and it worked beautifully. I am now the proud owner of my very on "ribbon" embossing folder. It will be a will addition to some of the cards I am making for breast cancer awareness! TFS.
