Sunday Spotlight!

Happy Sunday All!
It is Arin here and for those of you that don't live in Southern California, you are missing our January 80 degree weather! It was a bit hard pulling away form the warm rays sunshine, but I just could not wait to share today's Sunday Spotlight, Kim from Kim's Kreations!  This amazingly creative crafter is a registered nurse who has raised two sons and is now patiently waiting for some grandchildren to spoil.  So to fill her time, this empty nester settled right into her favorite past time of crafting and that earned her a spot on our FCCB's Top Five with this fun Christmas inspiration!
Her one year blog anniversary is coming up this February and has she been one very busy new blogger! Her blog is filled with ohh and aah moments and she has some amazing skills when it comes to not only creating amazing projects, but in making her own supplies for her projects! One of the things found that she made was her own crinkle ribbon!

Here is one of her projects done with the crinkle ribbon she made!

Now let's meet this jack of all crafty trades!

1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why? I have been scrap booking since I was a kid. I have scrapbooks from grade school. I  did not get into scrapbooking as it is today until 2007 when I made a scrapbook for my Grandmother's 90th Birthday.  Since then I have discovered blogging and my paper crafting is evolving.  I have been trying all kinds of projects.
2. What is your favorite type of project to make (i.e., cards, layouts, mini-albums, etc....)? I like to make cards.  They are instant gratification   I don't need a picture to complete a project all I need is inspiration.  I can get my inspiration from paper or an embellishment.
3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects? . I love to use ribbon and flowers. I have to say I hoard ribbon.  I have so many spools and colors it's hard to find a place to store it all.
4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge? My very first cartridge I got after I bought my first and I might add only original Cricut and that is George and Basic Shapes.
5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting? I spend time with my family.  I also love to watch movies of all kinds, new and old. My all time favorite is Gone With the Wind.

Here are a couple fun cards found on her blog that are just full of creative inspirations for a  baby shower card or the ever-so-hard man card moments!

Before heading back out to the sunshine, I must leave you with this last fun project found!  This was her first altered box project!  A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!  There are no Cricut cuts on it, but it is just too fabulous not to share!

Now pop on over to Kim's Kreations and enjoy all the amazing and beautiful projects she has been working on!  You will not be disappointed and you may learn a few pointers making your own supplies as well - she makes her own washi tape!

Until next week!
