Thursday Tutorial - Swing Cards!

Hello! Rachel here from Cricut with Heart, and today I'm sharing a fun tutorial/chart made by my friend and blog partner, Mary Thompson.

Did you know that the Cricut Artiste Cartridge has 9 different Swing Cards on it? Here are all nine of the Artiste Swing card shapes, and the cards that Mary made using them.
The possibilities are truly endless!  The best part is, they are quick and easy to make with the Cricut. If you have both the Artiste and Art Philosophy cartridges, you can cut out the matching shapes to decorate these swing cards.

Below is a chart that Mary made, and it shows the companion shape for each card and which cartridge to find it on. You will also find the page and size needed for each shape.

Give these cards a try, they are fast and easy to make and turn out so cute!

Happy Crafting!

  3. OMG! Thank you for doing the "legwork" on the swing cards! I have both of the cartridges but didn't have "time" to figure out which and where the coordinating shapes were...so I didn't make any of the swing cards! You are awesome! Thank you, Thank you!

  4. Just have to say that I absolutely LOVE your Thursday tutorials! The above tutorial is SO helpful; as well as your Craftroom Tutorials. I was SO frustrated with the CCR because I could not get my layers to match up size-wise...then I happened upon your tutorials! WOW, what a difference. I like the CCR again!

    THANK YOU!!

  7. Hi! Thanks for showing us these wonderful cards! It makes me want to go out and buy the cartridge!

As I don't have this cartridge yet, I wanted to see what else was on it so I was able to find a pdf file of the handbook @ http://www.cricut.com/res/handbooks/Artiste_Handbook_web.pdf

but as I was going through this handbook, I didn't see any of the swing cards. Maybe I was just scanning through the book and missed them. So can you please let me know where they are located in the handbook.

Thanks so much for your help!

    Michelle :-)

    1. Hi Michelle,
You'll find them in the Artiste handbook on page 52. They're kind of hard to miss since it just looks like a bunch of rectangles! Cut them out at 5 1/2", fold them, and then decorate. Have fun!!

  9. I just found these and you made my day! I don't have Philosophy but a friend of mine does. I just made a snowflake card for a special friend and it turned out pretty well for the first time. I plan on making these for next Christmas with a few adjustments.
