Quick Tip Tuesday

Good morning everyone! It's Angie from Angie's Paper Passion here again to share a quick tip with all of you. Most of you may know this but I'm pretty sure there are many Cricut owners out there who have never been told this before. Do you know what to do if your Cricut machine starts acting, well, wonky, not working well, or just acting kinda crazy? Well, if it's in the middle of cutting, hit the STOP button! This will stop the machine to keep anything else bad from happening. Unload your mat and try turning your machine off for awhile. Now, I'm no Cricut expert, so if you ever have issues please call PC customer service. They will talk you through any issue and they do a fantastic job, in my opinion.
But there is a reset button - just in case! And this is where it's located and how to get to it:

(Notice all of my 'technical' terms - 'Cricut' for the housing and 'garage' for the... well, I have no idea, LOL!)
After following the instructions in the above photo, look into the machine all the way to the right side.

Do you see it? That small red button is the Cricuts reset button. It is only to be used when everything else hasn't worked - you'll know when that time comes - it's right before you start to pull out your hair, lol. But it just resets your Cricut to the default settings.
I have never had to use it on any of my machines but it's good to know that it's there just in case...

Can you believe that it is the end of April and tomorrow is the first of May? I think it's time to organize! So my quick tips for May will be about different ways to get our Cricut and craft hoards, ah, supplies in order so we can have a better environment to let our creativity flow! I hope you will join me here every week for new tips! Thank you and I really appreciate your comments!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Sunday Spotlight!

Good Sunday to you all!  It is Arin is here and I am thrilled to introduce to you Becky from Becky's Craft Place! She is a pooch lovin' crafter that really has a passion and talent for crafting, especially with her Cricut. She lets nothing get in her way to keep her from crafting, even recently moving she managed to land a spot on FCCB's Top 5 with this great project (one of my personal favorite "cheesy" jokes)!

Becky has a lot of personality to her cards that just shine with creative whimsy and wit! Check out these cards I spotted that just make you smile the minute you see them!

Now let's meet her!
1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why?
I started making scrapbooks during college just to keep memorabilia organized- ticket stubs, notes from friends, etc.  I don’t think there are even any pictures in my very first scrapbook!  I dipped my toes in a little further when I made my wedding scrapbook, but it really became my hobby when I got my first Cricut in 2011.
2. What is your favorite type of project to make (i.e., cards, layouts, mini-albums, etc....)?
It all depends on the mood I’m in!  I love making cards because of the variety.  There are so many cuts that I probably never would need on my scrapbook pages, based on the types of things I scrapbook about, but I can use them on cards of all types!  But sometimes I get burnt out on cards, print a ton of pictures, and spend a whole week just scrapping instead.
3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects?
I’ve been keeping my Stickles in a box right on my craft table lately- I don’t even bother to put them away anymore- so that probably means they’re getting used the most.  I love that they add sparkle to projects and that there are so many colors that they will match anything.
4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?
My all time favorite is Create a Critter.  I think the cuteness of the designs just matches my style really well.  Of course, I also love Create a Critter 2!  It has the cuteness of the original with the added bonus of the holiday themes.
5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?
I love to bake!  I bake all kinds of things- both human treats and dog treats.  I feel like it uses a different aspect of creativity, and I love that in the end the product is something delicious!  I also love movies, especially the big superhero blockbuster movies.  I’m kind of a nerd.

Here are some creative finds I found that I just had to share!

                                                           Add A Little Color

As mentioned before, Becky is one pooch lovin' crafter and her four legged BFF, named Sophie has been the subject of many of her amazing creations.  Check a few of the many I found of this sweet pooch.  Becky's blog would be a great resource to all you pet lovers to see how to craft your four legged friend.

It has been super fun showcasing Becky from Becky's Craft Place! You will want to pop over an be inspired by her projects.  I want to leave you with these two last projects that are great tips and tricks that will not only show you some new approaches, but will leave you feeling like you have learned something new!

Until Next Week!

Scrappin' on Saturday

Hi everyone, Cindy here, I hope that everyone is ready for another Scrappin' on Saturday post! There is still time to join this week's challenge.

Challenge #156 April Showers
Use an Umbrella
This week's challenge is fun, there are a ton of cartridges with umbrellas on them and I was able to find a few bloggers this week who are scrappin' with them.
FCCB Design Team member Connie did a layout this week.

My favorite scrapper Cricut Crazy Scrapper used the same cartridge Birds on Parade for her layout.

Cricut Crafting Grammy made a super cute Hello Kitty layout.

Thanks for visiting today!
