Quick tip Tuesday

Hello my fellow Cricuteers!

I hope you are having a great week so far...today's tip came from Anna Griffin's blog: shan't to add some shine to plain ivory color card stock? Well use a sticker, stamp or quote printed on vellum and you will have a very elegant result:

Photo Credit: Anna Griffin 's blog

Even when the example was made using a craft knife, you can easily reproduce the look with your Cricut, cutting your basic vellum shape then stamping or cutting a pre-printed sentiment/ quote and adhered to a shadow cut on ivory colored card stock. Love this look!

Extra tips: use a dye-based ink on vellum. Let dry before handling or heat seal the ink for a speedier process.

As always thanks for stopping by!

Have a very crafty day!

Scrappin' Saturday - Apples

"An apple a day keeps the doctor away"
"An apple for the teacher"
"How do you like them apples?"
" The apple of my eye"
Apples are not just for eating they also make great puns. As we get ready for Back to School - one of the classic apple ideas is bound to come to mind so today for Scrappin' Saturday we are looking at some of the best apple cuts Cricut offers and taking a look at some of the Design Teams awesome apple projects.

Let's get started with a fact - 222 results come up when you search for apple in Design Space

Many are basic apples from simple to elaborate like some of these:
Of course there are apple images just for back to school:
Also you will find some specialty apple images (how can you not think of apple pie!!)
What apple projects will you make with some of these great images or some of the others 222 results? Look at some of these great apple themed projects made by the FCCB Design Team.

So go grab an apple as a snack and think about your apple themed projects and have fun finding just the right cut. I hope you will join us next week for Scrappin' Saturday.
