Spotlight Sunday

Welcome to Spotlight Sunday. My name is Saundra and I am your spotlight hostess here at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog. Today I will be spotlighting two designers.
Our first designer is Jenny from Jennys Scrapbooking Haven.
Jenny will be our guest designer for our next Challenge Me Monday and Share the Love Cricut Crawl. We here at FCCB wanted you to get to know Jenny a bit so we asked her a few crafty questions.
1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting? Why?
I have always been a crafty person, doing everything from drip and drape dolls, knitting and making miniature doll houses. I was bitten by the scrap booking bug around 8 years ago. My hubby was working out of town and I was bored one night when I noticed a neighbour hood scrap booking store was running a one night class to learn how to scrap. I now have more supplies in my house then that scrap booking store ever had.

2. What is your favorite type of project to make (i.e. cards, LOs, mini-albums, etc.)?
My favorite scrap booking projects would have to be two page layouts, this is not to say that I do not enjoy making cards or mini albums. I just love to try everything and I am always game for a good challenge.

3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects?
Right now I would have to say my favorite scrapbooking item that I use would be my white gel pen, it just seems to add that extra touch.

4. What do you do in your spare time, when you're not paper crafting?
When I am not scrapping I love to read, play bingo and travel.

Any other info you would like us to know about you :)
I have been married for 40 years have two children and they have blessed me with 6 wonderful grand children.

The next designer that I would like to introduce you to is Tanya from Nonna’s Craft Corner. You may know Tanya as the hostess for Fantabulous Fridays here at FCCB.
Tanya will also be participating in out next Challenge Me Monday and Share the Love Crawl. Let’s get to know her a little better.
1. When did you start scrapbooking/papercrafting? Why?
When I was first married (at the ripe old age of 18), my husband and I didn't have 2 nickels to rub together. We didn't have a television, my family had just moved 600 miles away and all my high school friends had gone to college or moved away. My Mother took pity on me and taught me to cross-stitch. When my children were little, I would stay up late into the night working on my latest project. It was such a peaceful feeling, my kids in bed asleep, my husband in bed asleep, me stitching away.... all was right with the world. It was the one time of day that was just for Mommy and it was great. Over the years, the cross-stitch led to other crafts such as sewing, painting, and ceramics. About 10 years ago, I went craft shopping with a friend who lead me to the scrapbooking section. I told her that there was no way I was going to start yet another craft. I left the store with an armload of scrapping supplies and that was that! My husband still cringes when I say I'm going to go "look" at scrapbook supplies!
2. What is your favorite type of project to make?
I love to make cards because you make cards to give to someone else, and hopefully put a smile on their face. There is a great joy in making something special to give to that one special person. I also love to put together scrapbook layouts because there is nothing like sitting down with my granddaughter and looking at book after book of family photos and sharing all those memories with her.
3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects?
Right now it is any kind of BLING! My granddaughter is 6 years old and we are really into anything that sparkles, twinkles or glows! I love my collection of glitter, stickles and gems!
4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?
I know this doesn't sound like a straight answer, but it is a truthful answer....My favorite cartridge is the one I am working with NOW. And I say that because these cartridges have so many features and so many options, that I seem to find something new and useful on every cartridge no matter how many times I may already used it.
5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?
I keep my granddaughter in the afternoons, after school while her mom is at work. Emma keeps me pretty busy, of course the thing that she most likes to do is "make stuff" with all my leftovers! We also have a grandson who lives a couple of hours away, so we try to spend time with Blake when we can. I am also usually involved with one project or another at our church which also keeps me busy. As a matter of fact, we have just started our VBS plans and that will keep me hoping until this summer!
Here are a few things that you can find on Tanya’s blog:

Happy Crafting!
