Happy Saturday!
12x12 File Folders!!!
Take a look at these super-cute example layouts by Vicki over at Wizard's Hangout:
Vicki scrapbooked on the front of each file folder and added coordinating paper to the top of the inside back cover that is revealed when she cropped the upper right corners. This allows a peek at the contents once included. Genius! You could use your Cricut to cut a recurring shape (like Vicki did with the circles containing the number of her son's grade each year) or any other school-themed embellishment that matched the page.
Vicki used Close To My Heart's "True Fit Folios" which are plain white 12x12 file folders made for scrapbooking. I have also seen 12x12 size printed file folders at several stores (although I do not know if they are acid-free or photo friendly like the CTMH True Fit Folios are).
What a FANTABULOUS idea for documentaing your child's growth, progress and keeping those precious mementos safe. Thanks for this awesome idea Vicki! :) Be sure to check out Vicki's blog for some other super-fun layouts and inspiration.
If you try scrapbooking on a 12x12 file folder, whether for school or any other theme, please leave a comment and share the link so we can check them out!

The file folders are a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThese are a great idea, I keep all my children's school work in folders for each child but this is much better way. I think it may be time to rearrange although it could take awhile since they have all but one left school lol.
