Thursday Tutorial - St. Patrick's Day Themed Note Card

Hi all you creators and bloggers. It's Kimberly here with Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Thursday Tutorial. As an ex-teacher, I jumped on the chance to do the tutorials for this blog plus it gives me the opportunity to share what I know and get ideas as well as feedback from other amazing Cricut users.

I have fallen asleep many nights with a Cricut manual in my face just looking through them all and sketching out ideas. My ever-so-kind husband comes to bed, takes the glasses off my face, lays the manual on my end table and turns my light off. Well, enough about me!

For this week's tutorial I've created a 4 x 4 St. Patrick's Day Note Card using two cartridges (Phrases and Designer's Calendar), the Gypsy and a variety of paper listed below or explained in my video (also included in this blog).

~Supplies and How to do it:

Card Base: Gold textured card stock (any brand) cut at 4 x 4

Boxed Four Leaf Clover (pg. 30 s>boxed): Walmart/Colorbok white card stock cut at 4" on the Cricut or 4.0 x 4.0 on the Gypsy (note:the Gypsy cut comes out 4.0 x 3.75..not sure why).

Four Leaf Clover (pg. 30 s>shadow):  The green plaid paper is regular paper not card stock that I bought at JoAnns. Adjust your Cricut blade to #3 and the pressure of medium so it doesn't tear. Slowing the speed down to medium also helps. I cut this on the Gypsy at 3.65 x 3.65. If you use the cartridge cut it at 3.75.

Tag is from Phrases (pg 46 tag feature): The white top layer, cut on the Gypsy, is at 2.0 x 0.9. If you use the cartridge, cut it at 2.0 x 1.0. The gold bottom layer, cut on the Gypsy, is 2.25 x 1.10. Using the cartridge is 2.25 x 1.25.

Hero Arts Stamp Set: This has a variety of holiday themed stamps. It doesn't acutally have a name on it. Here's what it looks like. You can tell I've used it a lot. I used black Momento ink.
