This week I am going to continue with the theme of the Cricut markers, because again I think that most of us really don't know how to use them. Maybe some do, but well I don't :). I found a great use for them from Glenda at Glenda's Creative Place.
In Glenda's video tutorial she shows you how she cuts out her image first and then cuts it out. The one thing that she talks about in the video is the requirement for Design Studio. Now that we have the gypsy and the Cricut Craftroom you can use either of those tools just as well as the Design Studio Software.
I decided to try this and this is what I made using her technique.
I used the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge to first cut out the whale and I used the Just Because Cards Cricut Cartridge to first cut out the sentiment. After it was cut I used a brown cricut marker to outline each of the images. I think it turned out great. What a fun alternative to distress ink (which I love using)!
Just for fun, here is the inside of my card.
Here is a great example that I found when I did a google search for cricut markers. I couldn't find the owner of this picture as she seems to no longer be active on the Cricut.com Community, but hopefully she doesn't mind that I am sharing her great project!
Here is the video tutorial that Glenda made explaining her Cricut Marker Technique
Thank you for joining me on another Quick Tip Tuesday, I will see you again next week!
Thank you for the information and the video. However, I can't see your pictures. All I see is a black rectangle with a cutout in the middle. It is probably my computer. I will check back again later today.
