Welcome to Spotlight Sunday!Today we have a “fantabulously” talented lady and tomorrow’s Challenge Me Monday Guest Designer! Let me introduce to you to Glenda from Glenda’s Cards:

Glenda was one of our Top 5 picks for this challenge.

Before we show you some of Glenda’s other incredible creations we thought you would like to get to know her a little better. We asked her a few crafty questions.

1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting? Why?

My fun with paper, scissors, and glue began in 1997. Before that time, my crafting was needle-related...sewing, cross-stitch, and ribbon embroidery. I was running out of wall space to hang my framed stitched work. With the birth of my granddaughter that year, I began scrapbooking to preserve our family photos and all the precious moments. Of course, no Cricut then. I bought the Cricut Expression in 2009 and began a new journey of crafting!

2. What is your favorite type of project to make?

I enjoy making cards! I especially like trying different styles of cards and learning new techniques.

3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects?

I use the Cricut Expression on most of my work. The Cuttlebug is a favorite too - love all the folders! Inks and punches are at the top of my list too! Of course if the project is for a Red Hat Lady, it has to have bling!

4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?

I enjoy all the cartridges that I have, but I seem to use Wild Card, Lacy Labels, and A Child's Year cartridges the most.

5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?

I enjoy time with family, going to the grandkids' games and activities, love shopping for more paper, and I enjoy all the fun of being a Red Hat Lady!

However, if you asked my children, they would say I am always playing with the Cricut! I need to retire from work so I can play more!

6. Any other info you would like us to know about you.

My blog was started in September 2010 and I enjoy the many friendships that have been made. I have felt so fortunate being on two design teams for the last few months..Paper Playtime and Flaunt It Fridays. I love challenges and try to participate as I have time. I enjoy using the Cricut and I am happy that many blogs focus on the Cricut.

Fantabulous Friday--It's Getting Hot!

Hi everyone! Another Fantabulous Friday here. I don't know where you are but here in Geogia it is HOT already. At least we don't have the humidity yet, but those pesky mosquitos are already here. I thought I would check out something summer themed projects since it seems to be early this year:) The first cartridge I found that is great for those summer pages and cards is Cricut Lite Splish Splash. Did you know that if you register Lites on Cricut Rewards in June that you get double points? I think I need to do some shopping--LOL! There are also fun bathtime cuts here too. I found this wonderful card at Courtney Lane Designs -- she makes the most beautiful projects! Another great cartridge is Life is a Beach. I actually own this one, but am not sure I've ever made anything with it until last night :) We are going to the beach this summer so I'm sure to make some great pages with it. But I decided to make a quick card for you last night. I posted all the details on my blog today :) This cartridge has a really fun alphabet too!

Those seem to be the main cartridges for summer. There are several seasonal cartridges that have come out too, but I think are hard to find. Maybe there will be some great summer ones on the next Hello Thursday. I'm sure I'll need to buy them :) Here is a link to some free summer SVGs. You can find them at the SVG Shop Blog! Thursday Tutorials : Imagine Tips and Getting to Know Your Imagine

Hi Everyone and Happy Thursday! Ok, we're back on schedule, just a little late. Today I thought it would be helpful for those of us who have the Cricut Imagine to have some basic tips. It's amazing, I've had mine since Christmas and still haven't figured out the main tips and tricks on using it properly and I know a lot of you out there are just like me! So, I've decided to post a few different videos with some easy tips and tricks for us so we can get the most out of our machines.

The first video is from Robyn at My Pink Stamper. In this video she helps us learn how to make sure our layers are all going to be the correct size. It's very simple and very quick. Enjoy!

Next up we have an awesome tutorial, Part 1 in series, from our very own DT member, Rae from Wahoo Crafts Now she may have already posted this previously, but I didn't have time to check that this morning so please forgive me if this has already been done. This is a beginning tutorial that will show you Imagine functions and how to get started with your Imagine. If you don't own an Imagine or if you are just starting with yours, this is a great beginning video on how to use your new machine! She will also walk you through an Imagine cartridge book to show you what you get with your cartridges and how they layer and work. Easy peasy.

Finally, for today, we have a video on how easy it is to actually use the Imagine to print on fabric! I love this idea and can't wait to give it a try. Just remember, after you print onto material and iron the image on to your fabric, you will need some sort of heat set so the image will not wash out in the laundry. There are tips and tricks on You Tube for this in the comments under this particular video which was brought to us today by Tammybowstamper from her own You Tube page.
