Too Many Distress Ink Pads?

Hello everybody and welcome back to another Quick Tip Tuesday! Today I really do have a quick tip to share with you! If you're like me, you got one Tim Holtz distress ink pad and you were hooked! After getting more and more, my ~~obsession~~ collection looked like this!

So, my quick tip is to label them! Quick, easy, and efficient!

Spotlight Sunday

Great Sunday to All You Fantabulous Fans! Beckie, here with my last post as Spotlight Sunday Hostess. Next Sunday, Mrs. Tammy will be shining the light on the craftiness! Thanks so much for allowing me to shine the spotlight, and please give Mrs. Tammy a warm welcome.

Today's Spotlight is on Carolyn of Carolyn's Crafty Creations. She grabbed a Wednesday Win with this gorgeous card.

Carolyn is crafty and super nice. Let's get to know her a lil bit...

When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why?

I started scrapbooking 18 years ago when my first child was born. I love any type of crafting but scrapbooking/paper crafting is my favorite! I bought my first cricut on black friday 2008. My husband and I stopped at Walmart early that morning on our way to the hospital to have baby #4. We stood in line and I was so excited to finally get my hands on a cricut!! Then off to the hospital to have a baby! What a wonderful memory!!

What is your favorite type of project to make (i.e., cards, layouts, mini-albums, etc....)?

I LOVE making layouts. As my kids are growing up it is so nice to look back on all the wonderful times and see how much they have grown. I started making cards this last year and am really loving it. It is such a great feeling to send a handmade card!

What is your favorite product to use on your projects?

I LOVE to use my cricut and gypsy! I use them for almost every project I do.

What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?

I LOVE all my cartridges!! I recently got Art Philosophy and LOVE it! I would say my favorite Font cartridge is : Cuttin Up.

What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?

Humm!! Spare time not paper crafting? I have 5 kids so when I am not doing mommy stuff, I am crafting!! I am so lucky to have a WONDERFUL husband and the BEST kids. I am a stay at home mom and love being home with my kids all day. I would have to say I spend alot of time vaccumming up Cheerios!!!

Any other information you would like us to know about you?

I have always been crafty. I spent many years doing One Stroke painting. I became a One Stroke certified instructor and taught many classes and had home painting parties. That was a very fun time in my life! I also make hair bows for my kids and for sale. A few years ago, I took the Wilton cake decorating classes at Micheals and LOVE decorating cakes.

Scrappin' Saturday - Memorial Day

Happy Scrappin’ Saturday Everyone!! How was your Memorial Day weekend? Do you have any Memorial Day traditions you would like to share?

#113 – Memorial Day - Make a project using the color red plus anything that makes you think of Memorial Day (ie. a flag, military symbol, or poppy). If you haven't submitted a project for the challenge this week...there is still time!! I have to say that I love the Stand & Salute Cricut Cartridge, so when I saw both these projects that were submitted for the challenge...I knew I had to share them!!Carolyn submitted this wonderful card for the challenge. I love the hat border with the white detailing...such a great touch!!

Tami submitted this gorgous card for the challenge. I love the paper choices that she used with all the great cricut cuts!

Thursday Tutorial - Using Mat Layers in Cricut Craft Room

Hi All,

This is Sheila again here with another Thursday Tutorial.

I've been playing around in Cricut Craftroom lately.

I haven't had been able to make any cuts yet but it is a great tool for laying out and testing colour on a design.

While perusing over at Obsessed With Scrapbooking, I came across this great video tutorial on how to make a word book using 'mat layers'.

Wednesday Winners #112

Good Morning Fantabulous Friends,

Welcome to another wonderful Wednesday here at FCCB! Is it just me or is time really flying this Spring/soon-to-be Summer??? Wow, it seems like I blink and another week has gone by! It's already time for the wind down of school and for graduation for many of the families out there. I must admit, I'm super happy I haven't had to attend a graduation in a long time! I don't like going to them, but I certainly don't mind making projects for them. ;) And I'm pretty sure you folks out there enjoy that part of it too, judging by all of the great projects from last week's "You Did It" challenge! I can't believe all of the unique projects that were created for this challenge. If you missed it, you can check it out HERE to see what our amazing DT, Guest Designer -- Kathie, and our participants came up with. I was seriously impressed that so many fun styles/fonts/colors were used. These graduation projects were anything but boring (unlike the ceremonies *wink wink*)! Great job, friends!!!
