Good Morning Fantabulous Friends,

Welcome to another wonderful Wednesday here at FCCB! Sorry for my tardiness this morning! I had one of those days yesterday (frequent occurrence with Fibromyalgia) where I ended up sleeping all afternoon and all through the night so I didn't get my post done in the middle of the night like I usually do!  The problem with sleeping that much is you almost always end up with a headache--which I do have, quite badly this morning. Thank you all for your patience. ;)

Since it's the end of the school year, we thought it would be a good time to showcase those awesome "Prom-enade" layouts for those of you with kids, or celebrate dancing and dressing up which, let's face it, a girl needs to do every once in a while. ;) This is what our challenge was about last week.  If you missed out on it, I recommend you take a peek HERE to see what our amazing DT, Guest Designer -- Lisa, and our participants came up with.  One thing I loved about this challenge was all the elaborateness of the projects!  Be sure to check them out!

Quick Tip Tuesday - DIY Pop Dots

Hello everyone and welcome to Tuesday!!!

I am excited about today's post because it is about one of my favorite non cricut tools that I love to use. And, that is pop dots. I love giving depth to my creations and I use these little guys in so many projects!

I found this great YouTube video provided by CraftaholicCentral showing exactly how you can create your own pop dots and so cheaply!

Now I have not been able to try this on my own as I do not own that big of a xyron sticker maker, but it is absolutely on my list. I can't wait to try it!

Spotlight Sunday

Great Sunday morning to you! You're looking good, and we're always glad to see ya ;0)


Today's spotlight is on Kathie of Let's Get Scrappy Together. She mesmerized the DT and grabbed a top 5 with this project. 

Kathie is full of craftiness, just look....

Isn't she talented? Let's get to know her a lil better. 

When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why? 

I started scrapbooking just over two years ago...Im mom to six children (some grown) and I wanted a special way to show their pictures, other then simply putting them in photo albums. Before getting my cricut, I used to cut everything out by hand and really enjoyed doing this method, but then my husband bought me the Expression for Mothers Day... and my scrapbooking took off! Now, along with my scrapping, I also enjoy making cards.

What is your favorite type of project to make (ie., cards, layouts, mini albums, etc..)? 

I'd have to say at the moment, I really enjoy making cards...I suppose its because its still somewhat new to me and I really enjoy that I can pick any subject and create something new and different. Although, I still love to make layouts of all my children too...I want them to be able to look back and remember the special moments in their lives that meant a lot to them.
What is your favorite product to use on your projects?

My number one favorite product would have to be inks...I think I use them on just about every project that I make! Close second would be Zig 2 Way Glue and Glossy Accents.

 What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?

Wow, thats hard to say...I really like all of my cartridges, but at the moment its probably Flower Shoppe or Art Nouveau.

What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?

If I'm not paper crafting, Im either working on my families genealogy or outside working in my flower gardens and taking pictures. I live in the country, so theres plenty to keep one busy outdoors if thats where you want to be. I also have two younger children still at home, so they have ideas of their own sometimes and mom is the go to person and the one to make things happen.

Scrappin' Saturday - "Prom-enade"

Happy Scrappin’ Saturday Everyone!!  Wow!!  Can you believe that we are mid way through May!?!  My husband & I went to dinner the other night & on our way home we passed by a park where a large group of high schooler's were all dressed up in tux's & beautiful dresses for Prom and taking pictures.  I couldn't help but smile thinking about this weeks challenge.... 

#111 – "Prom-enade" - Make a project using a tux/dress or prom/dance theme.  If you haven't submitted a project for the challenge this week...there is still time!!  One of the blogs that I am a follower of is Gigi's over at The Cricut Bug.  Her projects are motativing, fun & beautiful!!  I love the different project ideas that she has posted!  I wanted to show you a couple of her projects that use the tux/dress -or- prom/dance theme. This project was a layout that she made for a Blog Hop showing what she is blessed for and used the Bride & Groom on the layout.  I love how she embossed the Bride's dress & veil.  All of Gigi's details are wonderful!!!  This project was for a challenge celebrating Kate & Prince William's Wedding.  I love the gold embossed paper behind the tux & the wedding dress!!   
If you have not been over to The Cricut Bug, you really should!!  Let Gigi know that Fantabulous Cricut sent you over....you wouldn't be disappointed!!  :)

Fantabulous Friday - Prom-enade

Hi, everyone! Faith Abigail here with this week's edition of Fantabulous Friday. Our theme this week is Prom-enade; make a project using a tux/dress or prom/dance theme.
