Hi Fantabulous Cricuteers!
This is Cicily, the Pink Dalmatian Scrapper. I'm new to the DT & Robin has asked me to do the Thursday Tutorials. I'm really excited (thank you Robin!), but I know I have some big shoes to fill.
I've been scrapbooking for 12 years & a Cricut user for the last 4! A few years ago I got a Gypsy & now I'm starting to venture into the CCR, which leads me to my first tutorial...
Searching in Cricut Craft Room
The main thing I use CCR for is searches & layouts. Right now my cartridges are linked to my Gypsy, so I can't cut :-(. But for those of you in my situation I wanted to show you how you can search & why you might start using it.
Here's a tutorial on how to search using the CCR.
I mentioned in my video that I prefer the search function in CCR over Gypsy. Here are some pics explaining why.
I did the same "cupcake" search on the Gypsy.
Then I'm asked which "cupcake" search I want to do. I don't like this question. I usually end up having to go thru several of these, so that I hopefully see all my choices.
I compared the search results for just "cupcake" with CCR. There were many differences. I also realized that the Cartridge list on the Gypsy is not in alphabetical order, so not as easy to browse thru.
I hope you enjoyed my first Thursday Tutorial. If you haven't played with the CCR, I highly recommend it. In fact I'm super excited because I even cut with it for the first time tonight, but that's for another Thursday! LOL.
I would love to hear what you Fantabulous Crafters would like to see tutorials of, please leave me a comment with your suggestions.
I hope you're playing along with the FCCB "Yummy Yummy" challenge this week!
