Scrappin' on Saturday

Hi everyone, Cindy here, I hope that everyone is ready for another Scrappin' on Saturday post! There is still time to join this week's challenge.

Challenge #155 Color and Shape
Use the color yellow and a triangle
This week we are going to look at Project Life. I feel like almost everybody on the planet is doing Project Life. If you don't know about Project Life, it's a scrapbooking method of documenting your everyday life with a kit that uses pocket page protectors and cards which help to journal your daily life. I got on the bandwagon last year, but I used CTMH page protectors and used my own paper and made my own cards. I got to about April before I threw in the towel. For me, it was more work than I expected because I wanted to use my Cricut and really I wanted to scrapbook. But for many, who don't have the time, it really fills a scrapbooking niche. I went searching for scrapbookers in blogland who are using their Cricut to do Project Life.
Here are a couple of my pages from last year:

I mostly used Designer's Calendar and then random cartridges depending on what was going on for the week.

Cara Miller teaches a lot of Cricut classes and is even teaching a class on doing Project Life and using your Cricut.

Katina from Two chics and a Cricut is working on a baby album that is more of a hybrid, utilizing Project Life along with traditional layouts.

Faith from Faith Abigail Designs made some beautiful Project Life style pages.

If you are interested in seeing more about Project Life be sure to visit here. Also, if you are interested in the idea of Project Life but maybe the kits don't appeal to you, there are many companies that are doing their own versions and one of those might appeal to you. They include Snap by Simple Stories, Daily Flash by October Afternoon, Pocket Pages by Me and My Big Ideas, and Photo Freedom by Echo Park.

If you think that you don't have time to scrapbook maybe trying one of these methods will get you back in the groove. Hope you all find time to scrapbook!
