Thursday's Tutorial #25

Welcome to a fun Tutorial Day!
Today we are featuring Lori Apgar and her blog
"Scrappin' My Stress Away"

Lori has an AWESOME vinyl tutorial for the Cricut.

Her tutorial has great detail so I will touch on the highlights.
To see the tutorial in detail please click HERE

Lori used the Cricut Lite Cherry Limeade for the font. She cut out the letters at 2". She made a kiss cut with her settings at 3, 3 & 3. That is: meduim speed, medium pressure and the blade set on 3. This cuts only the vinyl, not the backing.
She used a dental tool to weed away the extra vinyl. This is also very helpful in pulling out the extra pieces inside the letters.
Lori uses clear contact paper as her transfer tape. She de-sticks it a bit on her denim shorts because it is soooo sticky!! This is much cheaper than transfer tape!
Lori used the skater boy (cut at 2") from the Cricut Lite Dude for this can hug.
She also added a butterfly (cut at 3") from Wall Decor & More to this one.

Please comment below and let us know how you've enjoyed today's tutorial. And be sure to visit Lori at Scrappin' My Stress Away!

  1. What a great idea! I am fairly new to Cricut, so I have not attempted to use vinyl, but this gets my creative juices going and just may have to try it out!

    Thank you for sharing!
