Spotlight Sunday

Welcome to Spotlight Sunday!
Today we have three “fantabulously” talented ladies and Fantabulous Cricut Designers. There is something all three of these ladies have in common besides being FCCB designers. See if you can figure it out.
Let me, first, introduce to you to Rae from Wahoo Crafts

1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting? Why?

I started scrapbooking in 2004 after I got married. I was instantly hooked. It is so fun to look back at our wedding, trips, annual albums, baby books, etc. Life happens so fast and is easy to forget all the fun we have. That's why I scrapbook. In 2009, I had my second child and I didn't have a lot of time to scrapbook. I missed my creative outlet so much. So, I got out my Cricut expression and learned how to really use it thanks to Robyn at www.mypinkstamper.com. That's when I fell in love with making cards and anything Cricut!!! It is great to be able to start a project and finish it quickly.
2. What is your favorite type of project to make?

Wow, that is a tough one. Right now my favorite type of project is making cards.
3.  What is your favorite product to use on your projects?

I love stickles!
4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?

My favorite Cricut cartridge is Create a Critter
5.  What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?

When I am not paper crafting, I am taking care of my kiddos and helping with my husband's business ventures. He has a Real Estate office and I do the accounting for the business. We also redevelop houses and have rental properties. I do the accounting for those, as well. I also love to read books, go to the gym and watch TV shows on DVD. Right now I am hooked on Burn Notice.
6.  Any other info you would like us to know about you.

I love fountain cokes! LOL, I am totally addicted

Now let me introduce to you to Sarah from Sarah’s Stamping and Stuff

1.  When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting? Why?
I dabbled with paper crafts a long time ago-- my sister actually used to rubber stamp when she was in Jr. High and High School and I made fun of her :)  Then it wasn't until about 7 or 8 years ago I attended my first in home stamping party that I really loved what I saw, but never thought I could "do that."  I would say the last 4 years have been when I have really bloomed in my crafting.  It's my relaxation and my creative outlet!
2.  What is your favorite type of project to make (i.e. cards, LO, mini-albums, etc.)?
I love to make cards!  I also will occasionally alter projects as well--it really depends on my mood.  I've tried to scrap book but I just can't seem to fall in love with it like I do when making cards or altering projects.  I am however, beginning to realize that I need to alter more projects versus just buying the items to alter... just don't remind my husband about my composition notebooks please :)
 3.  What is your favorite product to use on your projects?
Wow...this is a really a tough question to answer.  I think what products I tend to use really depend on my mood.  However, I would say that I love nothing more than a good brad-- it could be big, little, fabric covered, homemade...it doesn't really matter-- I'm an equal opportunity brad lover!
4.  What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?
Haha...if you have spent any time looking at my blog you are probably sick and tired of seeing my work with the Create-A-Critter cartridge--I never, ever, ever thought I would like this cartridge.  I asked a friend what cartridges she uses the most and she shared with me about the CAC....well friends it has been love ever after.
 5.  What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?
In my spare time I love spending time with my family and friends.  I work full-time at a University and that keeps me super busy!  So when I'm not working I love going to baseballs games (Go Twins) and I love going to college hockey games (Go Sioux) with my hubby.  I also enjoy sitting back and sipping on a delicious bubble tea with my bestie, that we drove a couple hours round trip for!!!

Now let me introduce you to our last designer, Tamara from Happy Life, Crafty Wife

1.  When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting? Why?
I started in October 2010. Honestly, the Cricut Expression was an impulse buy! I wasn't exactly sure what it did besides cut paper. I had NO clue you could have so much fun with it, I am hooked!
2.  What is your favorite type of project to make (i.e. cards, LO, mini-albums, etc.)?
I looove anything 3d. Goodie bags/boxes, table decoration, etc. I've had a ton of fun making 3d table decorations with styrofoam and paper!
 3.  What is your favorite product to use on your projects?
My Cuttlebug! I love embossing. Texture adds so much to a project. Also love using pop dots!
4.  What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?
Create a Critter!
 5.  What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?
What DON'T I do? LOL! I have three children ages 3, 5 and 7. I ran a photography business for several years until I moved, but still really enjoy it. I love baking and decorating cookies/cakes/cupcakes. I also sew little girls clothing and make vintage inspired hair pretties that I use to sell on Etsy. I have since shut my shop down to have more 'me' time.
6.  Any other info you would like us to know about you.

I love coffee and lip products. LOL!

  3. Wow those are awesome projects! I am a sewer and just got a Cricut for cutting fabric for appliques. It is really neat to see how you scrapbookers take full advantage of the Cricut's features. I just posted today with my first Cricut projects. Thanks! Jamie @ Sewrockin.blogspot.com
