Spotlight Sunday

Hello Friends! Today we are back to spotlighting our Wednesday Winners. Most recently, Yvonne from Ink-spirations was a featured Wednesday Winner for this beautiful Fall charger plate she created for FCCB's Harvest Blessings Cricut Crawl! It's just so pretty!!

Let's get to know Yvonne's crafty side!

1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why?
I started making cards in the late 90's. I had just recently moved across country and my girlfriend was sending me great cards. Then for Christmas she sent me a package of cards that I just had to assemble. I thought that was pretty great so I went out and bought embossing powder, a heat tool and a couple of stamps. I can remember thinking, "I just invested a $100.00 I better stick with this!" lol! If I had only known that was just the tip of the iceberg. I branched out into scrapbooking a couple years later.
2. What is your favorite type of project to make (i.e., cards, layouts, mini-albums, etc....)?
I don't really have a favorite type of project...cards are fun, quick and I like to give those away. Scrapbooking is more time consuming but so rewarding. I really love to look back through my scrapbooks and do so often. 3-D projects or home decor are just fun and you really get to be creative.
3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects?
I love my Cricut Imagine.
Favorite product probably has to do with what is hot on the market. I like adding little embellishments such as Stickles, brads, pearls. Anything to add a little dimension and interest.

4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?
Wall Decor & More is one I use a lot. It has a wide variety of themes as well as a font, borders, & phrases.
Storybook gets lots of use too.

5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?
Most of my time is spent papercrafting but I do enjoy going to the gym. Recently purchased a bike and love being outside. As time permits I enjoy a good book.

Any other information you would like us to know about you?
I'm from Canada and moved to the US in 2009. Love the warm winters but miss my children. Not really children anymore as my son is 30 and daughter is 27 and a grandson 2 1/2. In an ideal world my family would all be close enough to come for Sunday dinners.
Moving around a lot I use blogging to stay connected to friends I've made. Thank you FCCB for having me as a guest this week. I'm honored.

Thanks so much Yvonne for sharing with us today and being our Spotlight Sunday Guest!

Now let's take a look at some of the projects you will find on Yvonne's blog, Ink-spirations.

I love this shaped Fall card with the sweet girl and squirrel and all the Fall accents. See how her hair is blowing in the chilly Fall air?

I love the vintagy flair on this holiday card. Yvonne used grungeboard for some of the accent pieces and it really makes them look like metal pieces.

And look at this adorable Santa and Reindeer set Yvonne made for her Grandson. Santa and his Reindeer will be lucky to eat out of such nice dishes!

Make sure to come back tomorrow to see what Yvonne has in store for us as our Guest Designer for Challenge Me Monday, along with the rest of our Design Team. Thanks Yvonne!

I want to make a correction to last Sunday's SS post. Cathie, one of our FCCB Design Team members, was one of the Spotlight Sunday Guests, and the first card I posted was actually from one of her own Design Team members and not her own card. I am sorry about that Cathie, and my apologies also to your DT member!

Here is another one of Cathie's beautiful creations. What a gorgeous butterfly easel card!!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

  3. The girl cut from the Imagine cartridge Enjoy the Seasons is one of my absolute favorites and I have planned a ton of uses for it. Just love it! Beautiful card and the rest of the projects are superb as well! TFS!
