Spotlight Sunday

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Sunday to you all. This is Tammy here and we are going to be spotlighting for the next few weeks our Fantabulous Cricut Design Team.  We asked them a few different questions that I think you might find interesting. So lets get on with this and meet some of the Design Team Members.

First up today is: Amy L. Red Headed Crafter. She does some amazing work stop by and check her blog out you won't be disappointed. Lets take a look at her crafting space.

Wow, she looks so organized. Well lets see what her go to cricut cartridges are along with some other favorites.

What are your top 5 go to Cricut Cartridges?
My Top 5 Cricut Cartridges are: Create a Critter, George & Basic Shapes, Everyday Paper Dolls, Sweet Treats, Birthday Bash

What are your favorite adhesives?
My favorite adhesives are my ATG gun, Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive, and my Zig Two-Way Glue Pen

How do you organize your cartridges?
My cartridges are kind of a mess, but I try to keep them separated by type: font, Cricut Lite, images, Disney, etc...  I also have them all linked to my Gypsy, so that helps keep them organized.

What is one of your favorite creative feature key?
I always like the card feature key.  There are some really cute shapes that you can use to make an interesting card base (instead of just always using a rectangle).

Next up is : Arin a Piece of Life's Pie. She has an amazing blog with pie being sweetly served. Check this blog out I am sure it will be worth your time. Lets take a look at her crafting space.

Wow, looks like an awesome space for crafting. Now on to her top 5 cartridges and favorites.

What are your top 5 go to Cricut Cartridges?
Mini Monograms
Create a Critter
Simply Charmed
Potpourri Basket
Everyday Pop- Up Cards
What are your favorite adhesives? 3M Scotch ATG Gun, 3M Quick Dry Adhesive and Pop Dots (any size).
How do you organize your cartridges? I store them on a wall hanging shelf in  alphabetical order. Keeping the "Seasonal" and Imagine cartridges separate, but also in alphabetic order.
What is one of your favorite creative feature key? On Once Upon a Princess - the shift font key. Great for a quick birthday card for a little girl.

Next and last one up for today is: Belinda The Embellished Card. Wow, I was blown away by the amazing stuff she creates. You have to check here out if you haven't already. Well lets see where she spends her time creating and see what her top 5 cricut cartridges are.

My crafting space is one wall in a shared office with my husband.  He is not fond of my 'stuff' spilling over onto his desk.  It gets a little crowded when Bubbe, my male fur-baby, wants to be on the desk watching the birds.

What are your top 5 go to Cricut Cartridges?
Create a Critter, Elegant Edges, Simply Charmed, Hello Kitty, 3 Birds on Parade  This will change as I just got a Meow Lite cart.  Can't wait to start making LO for my furbabies.

What are your favorite adhesives?
My ATG gun is my first choice as it is so fast and easy to use.  Next is foam tape; I love layers.  I use Zig 2 Way Glue for small pieces and can't leave my Xyrons.  I have the 150 which is great for ribbon and wording.  The 500 is great for vellum pieces that are over 1.5".

How do you organize your cartridges?
My overlays and 'brains' are organized in an ArtBin case with insert made for Cricut carts.  The booklets I keep in a medium plastic bin under my desk for easy access.  These are alphabetized.  I know a bit OCD.

What is one of your favorite creative feature keys?
I use the SHADOW feature most often.  I love the definition it gives to some of the cuts.

Well, we are really blessed here at the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog to have such an amazing group of talented ladies. Don't forget to stop back tomorrow to see what the design team has in store for you  on a new Challenge Me Monday.

Happy Crafting My Friends,

  1. Thank you for sharing your organizing tips with us. Your room looks great! I am using Art Bin for my cartridges but it gets crowded and hard to close if I fill it up. I was wondering about your Art Bin for your Cricut Cartridges if you had a special insert that you added or do you you talking about the sections that comes with it? Thank you so much. diane@weismanfamily.net
