Spotlight Sunday

Welcome to Spotlight Sunday!
We will be taking a break from spotlighting guest designers for a while as we would love to introduce you to our Fantabulous Cricut Design Team. We are so excited to have such talented designers showcasing their work here at FCCB!
We are so pleased to have Saundra back for her second term and Amy for her first term at FCCB. We asked them both to answer a few crafty questions so that you can get to know them a little better.
Let me first introduce to you to Saundra from Luv Scrapping Together.
1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting? Why?

I started paper crafting about 2 ½ years ago after getting my Cricut Expression. I originally bought it to use in my classroom for bulletin boards and such but found that it was quite addicting to use for other things as well.

2. What is your favorite type of project to make?

My favorite project to make is cards. I love that I have a finished product in a relatively short amount of time. I do like to challenge myself to make other things, though.

3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects?

I love to use my white gel pen, Peachy Keen stamps, Glossy Accents, distress inks, and pop dots!

4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?

It’s really hard to narrow down what cartridge is my favorite because it changes all the time. But, I would say for now: Create A Critter, Simply Charmed, Winter Frolic, and Sweethearts.

5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?

I love to read and spend time with my family.

6. Any other info you would like us to know about you.

I have been happily married to my high school sweetheart for 22 years. We have 4 children. I was once an elementary teacher for a private Christian school but came home just this past fall. I now home school my 3 younger children. I am so inspired by all the talented paper crafters in the blogging world. I love to participate in challenges and learning new techniques. I'm so excited to share that I am guest designing for Peachy Keen Stamps the week of March 14th - March 18th. I just have so much fun creating!

Now let me introduce to you to Amy from Scrapping, Card Making, and Living with Fibro.
1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting? Why?

I originally started scrapbooking when I was in my early 20's because my brother's girlfriend loved it and she got me hooked for a good year or so. Then, as is typical, a lot of things happened in my life and my hobby fell by the wayside. Just this past September something drove me to start the hobby up again. I've been ill for a very long time and needed something I could do at home that I enjoyed and would occupy my mind so I went to the local scrapbooking store and the rest is history! I even got a little part time temp job there for a bit. :0) I have developed an insane passion for scrapbooking and especially card making. In fact, since I can't have an actual "job", I now sell my creations!

2. What is your favorite type of project to make?

My favorite things to create are mini albums although I have yet to actually finish an entire one! LOL I am too busy making cards to create the other things I love at the moment, but I'll get back to it soon.

3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects?

My favorite product to use is ink. I ink the edges of everything! Those little Cat's Eye ink pads are the best!

4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?

As I have found true with most scrappers, my favorite Cricut cartridge changes all the time LOL. My current favorite is Sweethearts, but my top cartridge is always Create a Critter. It's just the cutest and it's the most useful one in my opinion. I also have an Imagine and the Imagine More cartridge that came with it is just gorgeous!!!

5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?

In my spare time, when I am not papercrafting, I am usually shopping online for papercrafting supplies! LOL I also love reading, blogging, blog hopping (especially :o)), playing Scrabble, and chatting on the phone with my girlfriends. I used to be super outgoing and a total party gal before I got Fibromyalgia. Now I am extremely limited in my abilities and have to be housebound most of the time so have learned to surround myself with things I love and always have some sort of electronics around whether it's my laptop, TV, gypsy, or DS. I'm always using something! I've never been good at "relaxing". I don't think I understand the meaning of that word! I have a wonderful husband who supports me so much and my two dogs and a piggie to keep me company during the day so I don't get too lonely. :0)
Thank you all for taking the time to get to know a little bit about me and I hope you will visit my blog and become a great new friend!
