Welcome to Scrappin' Saturday! This week's challenge, Purple People Eater, has been all about monsters. I find it easy to use monster cuts in Halloween layouts and projects, but the rest of the year...well, it's not a theme you often see. I went in search of some year-round monster layouts and found some great inspiration to share!
Nikki of Creative Xpress used Mini Monsters to craft a layout celebrating her "little monster" child. The pastel colors and floral prints move the monsters from spooky to endearing.
Melanie from Everyday Cricut used Bump in the Night for a layout about "monster"-like kid attitude. I agree monsters are the perfect cut to showcase a wild child! (And don't you just love that googly eye...?!)
And sometimes a kid just wants his "mummy" as shown in this layout by Crystal from ScrapbookPal.com. This concept could be used for any layout about bumps, bruises, or separation anxiety. What a super way to use the Phrase function from Mini Monsters!
Don't have a "monster" kid to scrap? Here's a few other occasions/subjects to scrap with cute creatures:
- Scary Movie Night
- Costume Party
- Pets Behaving Badly
I really enjoyed finding ways to use monsters throughout the year in scrapbook pages -- and I hope you were too.
Have a happy, scrappy weekend,
Jessica
