Quick Tip Tuesday: Recycling

This week's tip comes to you from Nicole at Canadian Nickel Scrapn, and boy should you check out her blog, she is amazingly talented!!! Thank you Nicole for letting us share your tip this week!

Here is what Nicole said about this tag:
You know that thick clear plastic packaging you get when you buy a cartridge or an As Seen on TV product?  I cut that plastic with my TH #8 Tag Die then ran it through my TH December embossing folder.  I kept the Decemeber out and just embossed the calander.  I just picked up the CHIP BLOCK die and thought I would try it.  "LUCKY"
I used some alcohol ink, Meadow over the 17, then went over again with silver glitter glue to get the 17 to pop.  I layered 3 tag cuts, manila, DP and the clear plastic.  I used distress inks on the DP to give it some green, then spritzed with some gold. Then added the plastic embossed tag.

Fantastic idea, now I only wish that I hadn't thrown all those plastic cricut cases away!! Oh well, good excuse to buy more right?!! Well, I had one case anyway, so I decided to give this tip a try myself. Oh and in case you think your experiencing deja vu, your not - the below project is the same as my design team challenge project for the cricut crawl.

The picture matt/frame is was embossed and then I added glitter to the embossing to give it more texture. Tied some fiber to the ends and now all I need is a photo!

One other tip to point out as an added bonus. Don't throw away or sell old jewelry, use it on your projects! The round embellishment with the hearts in the middle is an old earring of mine.

Thank you for joining me on another Quick Tip Tuesday, I will see you again next week!

Please be sure to come back tomorrow to check out our Wednesday Winners.
