Spotlight Sunday

Good Morning Everyone,

What a wonderful day it is and we are having some wonderful weather in the North East. We have a real treat for you today with the spotlight. If you haven't stopped by to give her some bloggy love I hope you do you will be so inspired, I know I was. Well she is Debbie and her blog is Scootin Granny's World.  Here is per project that she took a top 5 win with:

I  looked around her blog and got some inspiration for you. Check things out you will find lots of inspiration there.

Well you may want to get to know to her better. Here are some questions we asked her.

1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why?
I started about 15 years ago, doing a collage layout of my Mom and Dad to put in a frame for a wall hanging.  The pictures were taken just before and during WWII and just meant a lot to me.  From there I went to scrapbooking and then cardmaking.

2. What is your favorite type of project to make (i.e., cards, layouts, mini-albums, etc....)?
Right now I like to do mainly cards.  It just makes me happy to do something special and specifically aimed for the people who get the cards (such as their likes or dislikes, their favorite color or hobby, etc).  I have done one mini album and want to do more and get better at that.

3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects?
I like to do stamped images using paper piecing and Prismacolor pencils to add design and layers.  I also like “bling” when possible and bows...love bows and am working on those.  I just got a Teresa Collins Xyron MegaRunner and it is a wonderful tape runner!

4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?
I have so many favorites but guess Create a Critter and Campin’ Critters are in a tie for my favorites right now.  I recently got Autumn Celebrations and love the shadow-type looks of the cuts.  I’ll be delving into that one in the coming weeks.

5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?
I like to read and spend time with my grankids.  I also really enjoy riding around on my scooter (that’s where I got the nickname “Scootingranny”)

Any other information you would like us to know about you?
I have had so much fun using my Cricut.  My sister gave me my first one years ago and because of that gift, I have met some absolutely wonderful people--some only online, some in person.  I’ve entered a whole new world of fun and challenge, events and meetings and the fabulous exchange of ideas.  To me, it’s not just crafting.  It’s having fun, playing with paper, growing and gifting, sharing and just having a good time!

Well Scootingranny seems like lots of fun. We have one one thing for you today. She will be the guest designer for tomorrow for a new Challenge Me Monday. I know you will be inspired when you see it.
So, see you tomorrow.

Happy Crafting,
