Thursday Tutorial - Artiste Favor Box

Hello, Rachel here again from Cricut with Heart! To go along with the wedding theme this week, I thought I would share this little favor box that is easy to make with the Cricut Artiste cartridge. I just love the graduated shape of this box. (I actually "googled" this shape to find out what to call it, and discovered that it's an isosceles trapezoid! Cool, huh?)
The finished box is 2 1/4" high, so there is plenty of room to fill it with goodies.  I added my favorite new Shimmer Trim around the bottom to add more bling!

I cut the box and rosette shapes using the "X key" on page 62 of the Artiste booklet. (To view the complete Artiste Handbook, click HERE.) The Congrats is cut out of Whisper cardstock, and then heat embossed with silver glitter powder.
I also added an additional shape (not pictured) from the "C key" on page 63, and cut at 2"  from Avonlea Teal. I put this behind the rosette to add stability since I layered it off the edge.  Here is a closer view of that.
The instructions on how to put together the box can be found in the assembly booklet on page 40.

This is really a versatile little box, and such a cool shape! I hope this has inspired you to make something today.  Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
Happy Crafting!
