Welcome to Quick Tip Tuesday! Have you ever had to glue a large cut and noticed afterwards that there were some bulging areas where the glue was uneven? I've had that happen and recently learned that using an old credit card (or similar) to spread the glue prevents bulging areas under the paper.
I tried this tip on a layout I just put together. I cut a large mat from Accent Essentials. When it came time to glue it down, I applied Scotch Quick Dry adhesive to the back and then used an old gift card to spread the glue evenly over the back of the paper. The glue dries quickly though, so I had to move fast!
Here's the finished layout. There are no bulging areas under the large mat which I had adhered to the 12x12 paper. The mat lies flat and smooth.
When I was finished, the glue washed off the card nicely - ready to be used another time!
Happy crafting!
I love that glue and a great hint for using it without leaving lumps or unglued areas!
