Welcome to Quick Tip Tuesday!
Have you ever liked part of a stamp, but not the entire thing? Or just wanted to use some of the sentiment, and not the whole thing? That happens to me quite often and I would like to share this quick tip with you.
1. First, apply a piece of sellotape (or masking tape) over the portion of the stamp that you do NOT wish to use. |
2. Ink your stamp. |
3. Remove the tape from your stamp. (This is very important. I have forgotten this step and the results are less than desirable!!) |
4. Stamp! |
I have also used this method to mix-and-match portions of stamps to create a unique sentiment. You could also use markers to colour just the portion that you wish to stamp as well.
Happy Crafting!

Great tip, Kate. Sometimes I've inked up my stamp and used a baby wipe to wipe off the part I didn't want to use but that can be difficult. I'll give this a try next time.

I love this idea! I've tried masking with another piece of cardstock, but that can be iffy. This is a much simpler idea! Thanks!
