Welcome to Quick Tip Tuesday! I've read a number of posts in which crafters have indicated that they have used their own homemade pop dots (dimensionals). I came across a video put together by a Fantabulous Cricut follower, Janice from Cricutology, which explains how to make pop dots. What I really like about this idea is that you can purchase foam in different colours so dimensionals will match your paper and be less obvious when the card or project is viewed from an angle.
To make your own pop dots, you will need foam and a Xyron (or similar). I also came across somebody describe that they make their dimensionals with 2-sided tape and foam.
what a great find. I am going to have to give this a try.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder. I bought a huge pack of colored foam and then put it away! It's coming back out so I can make dimensionals-to-match :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
awesome, i was wondering how or where she got those colored ones when i was crawling along yesterday, thanks for the great idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! And I have some fun foam that I was going to get rid of--not any more. :)
ReplyDeleteI was cracking up when you were holding out your hand and saying, "I don't know if you can see it...I can't even see it." and then you realized it had fallen off. :) LOved it!
TFS this tip. Never thought about using matching foam...great idea.
