Quick Tip Tuesday: Make Your Own Pop Dots (Dimensionals)

Welcome to Quick Tip Tuesday! I've read a number of posts in which crafters have indicated that they have used their own homemade pop dots (dimensionals). I came across a video put together by a Fantabulous Cricut follower, Janice from Cricutology, which explains how to make pop dots. What I really like about this idea is that you can purchase foam in different colours so dimensionals will match your paper and be less obvious when the card or project is viewed from an angle.

To make your own pop dots, you will need foam and a Xyron (or similar). I also came across somebody describe that they make their dimensionals with 2-sided tape and foam.

I have not yet tried this method as I will not be going to Michaels until after lent - but am looking forward to giving it a try!

Happy crafting!

  2. Thanks for the reminder. I bought a huge pack of colored foam and then put it away! It's coming back out so I can make dimensionals-to-match :)

  4. Great idea! And I have some fun foam that I was going to get rid of--not any more. :)
I was cracking up when you were holding out your hand and saying, "I don't know if you can see it...I can't even see it." and then you realized it had fallen off. :) LOved it!

I laughed, it was really funny when the dot wasn't even in your hand that is something I would do.
