Scrappin' Saturday - High-Flying Bird Layouts

Welcome to Scrappin' Saturday!  The design team is loving all the wonderful bird-inspired projects submitted to this week's "For the Birds" challenge.  Feathers are flying everywhere here at FCCB and on your blogs!

To continue the avian theme, I've scoured the internet for scrapbook layouts featuring birds -- and these beautiful pages will not disappoint:

Karen of Fishing for Scraps used Straight from the Nest to create an elegant page celebrating the special relationship between aunt and niece.  What a great idea to include craft feathers on the page!

Jana Eubank crafted this fun owl layout with Hoot 'n Holler to commemorate a Fathers Day outing.  Check out all the gorgeous details and perfect papers that made this page a hit on the Official Cricut Blog.  I love how she's created layers upon layers and put ovals and circles behind the owls to make them pop.

Finally, hold onto your tail-feathers as you see all the intricate embellishments Beatriz of Amazing Grace: Designs by Beatriz included in her sweet baby layout.  Wowzers!  She has really made each of these birds from Create a Critter unique and special.  The hanging birdhouses are also wonderful touches.

I sure enjoyed viewing these inspirational creations and hope you did too.  Whether a Thanksgiving turkey, Easter chick, or spooky Halloween owl, birds are great decorative elements for scrapbook pages.

Are you ready to fly with a bird layout of your own?  Please share your projects in the comments section below -- I'd love to come visit your page!

Have a happy, scrappy weekend,
Jessica
