My tip this week comes by way of Gina K. Designs: Stamp TV. I had found her tutorial on YouTube and thought that it was an awesome idea. So, here I am sharing it with you. This is a simple way to use a common household item on your project and really dress it up!
All you need is an embossing machine, mine is the Texture Boutique by Sizzix, embossing folder, and some heavy aluminium foil. The regular aluminum foil works ok as well, but it does tend to tare more readily.
This pictures shows another use for the embossed aluminum foil. I embossed it with a heart folder and then cut out the carts to use on my card.
And here is the result! So, dig out that aluminum foil and use it on more than food!
Thank you for joining me on another Quick Tip Tuesday, I will see you again next week!
Please be sure to come back tomorrow to check out our Wednesday Winners.
Love what you did with the foil cards. I was thinking, since alcohol inks work so well on so many things, you could add color to your foil with an applicator and dab it on (Tim Holtz's colors) or use the copic refils with a bit of blender refill to the applicator and you could make some pretty marbled foil to use on your cards....
ReplyDeleteJust an idea.....
Very cool technique-thanks for sharing!!!
