Happy Tuesday everyone and welcome to another Quick Tip Tuesday. I am one of those people that save everything, just in case - hey you never know what and for what you may want to use it. This is why I have a very large scrap paper drawer. With that said my tip for you today is all about using what we would normally toss in the trash.
I am talking about the what is left after you cut out your diecut with the cricut or what is remaining after you used a border or a corner punch. Useful stuff people! Take the below diecut for example.
This is from a layout I have been working on (the layout itself is unimportant and if your just dying to see the finished product you may check my blog early next month). You see the darker green diecut on top of the lighter green? The holes that look like small leafs? Useful? Definitely!
These small "leaves" are going to help me embellish my pages just a bit more. And to do that it's always easier to sent them through my Xyron sticker maker.
So, below is a taste of how I used these small "leaves" on my page. You will see how I added them to the leaves that were already on my pattern paper, just to make the pattern pop a little bit more.
Below are two card I had made awhile back, both of which I used Martha Stewart border punches on.
In the below picture, I used the leftover flowers for a corner embellishment.
In the next picture, I used what was leftover from the border punch, that straighter edge piece as a corner enhancer.
And in the next photo is an example of the leftover corner edge from a corner punch.
There are so many possibilities and so many ways to use rather throw away the scraps you are left with during a project. I would like to encourage you to use what might have previously thrown away this week.
Thank you for joining me on another Quick Tip Tuesday, I will see you again next week!
Please be sure to come back tomorrow to check out our Wednesday Winners.
Great post! I love using the negatives from Cricut cuts and punches. Makes me feel thrifty and you never know what cool things you can do with them.
