Spotlight Sunday

Welcome to Spotlight Sunday!!! We are always glad to see you ;0) This week let's get to know some of the new Design Team members.

Please Welcome new DT member : Cyndy G of Arcy Scraps .

Besides being so very crafty...Cyndy is a super gal...

When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why?
I started paper crafting in 2007, just making layouts once in a while. In 2010 I discovered the Cricut. I initially got it for scrapbooking, but began making cards and was immediately hooked! Pretty soon I started branching out to other projects like brown paper bag albums, explosion boxes, word books, etc. It’s so much fun!
Any other information you would like us to know about you?
My husband and I love road trips within California, whether it’s from Orange County (where we live) to nearby places like San Diego, Los Angeles, to Santa Cruz/San Francisco! Also, I have a very supportive husband. He supports all my endeavors -including crafting. He gives me that extra push to try new things, to get new supplies/craft tools, try new techniques, and most importantly to blog! I really do enjoy visiting all of your blogs, so feel free to stop by, say hi, and leave your bloggy address and I’ll be more than happy to stop by and say hi too!

Please Welcome new DT member : Sonya of Sonya's Paper Trail.

And of course Sonya is a great lady besides being crafty...

When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why?

I started paper crafting back in 2000. A good friend of mine knew I was crafty (I did counted cross stitch), but I kept resisting her suggestions to start scrapbooking. She finally wore me down by inviting me to a large scrapbook convention that she didn’t want to attend by herself. I reluctantly agreed to go and she let me raid her supplies for the night. I had such a good time—it was a huge event and I had no clue what I was “in for”, but I left the crop hooked on the hobby. About a year later, I attended my first Stampin’ UP! workshop and added stamping to the mix. Since then, I haven’t picked up a counted cross stitch project, but I’ve completed dozens of scrapbooks and tons of cards. I remember when I got my first Cricut. I saw an ad in a scrapbook magazine and knew I *had* to have one. My awesome husband got me one for my birthday that year and I’ve been hooked on what the Cricut can do ever since.

What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?
When I’m not paper crafting, I’m a mom to one awesome 8 year old boy and a wife of 15 years to my college sweetheart. We are a family of avid cyclists, so you’ll probably find me out on my bike or watching my husband race (he’s a competitive cyclist) if I’m not in my scrapbook room. I also love cheesecake (YUM!) and my favorite movie of all time is “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”

Please Welcome new DT member : Melissa T of Scrappy Mac Designs

Melissa is very talented and a gem of a gal...

When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why?

I started doing craft projects when I was kid, then started scrapbooking when I was in high school to keep all of my photos, movie ticket stubs & odds-n-ends together. A couple years ago one of my best friends & I went to a local Archiver's & took a card class...needless to say I have hooked & been making cards since.

What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?
When I am not working on projects or working, I am spending time with my wonderful husband...who I met 10 years ago, playing with our 9 year old miniature yorkie Shelbi...who knows she is our 'spoiled kid' & takes full advantage of it! :), I also spend time with our families that continue getting bigger with some cute nephews & nieces, as well as making time to spend with a great group of friends that we are blessed to have in our lives. We love to travel and take one big trip a year outside of the country, which allows us to relax, regroup & take some amazing photos! I also love to cook & bake homemade cakes, frostings & fillings!

Please Welcome new DT member : Megan of _blank">Saxey Designs

You guessed it...Megan can do this and is a super girl, too...

When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why?

My mom introduced me to scrapbooking when I was in high school. I played with it off and on but when I bought my Cricut a couple years ago I was hooked!

What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?

When I am not paper crafting, you can usually find me outside as long as the weather is nice. I love to run and play outside with my dog. I have a wonderfully supportive family and I love spending time with them.

Thanks so much ladies!! Be sure to hop over to all the blogs above and show our new DT members some love! I know they will be so super appreciative that you came ;0)

Stop by tomorrow when these ladies, and some oldies but goldies, showcase some awesome inspiration for Challenge Me Monday.

Be blessed, Beckie
