Thursday Tutorial - Photography

Hello all you crafty bloggers!

It's Cicily with your Thursday Tutorial.
I hope everyone is staying cool. I love summer but I'm ready for some cooler weather!

I'm going to venture away from the Cricut for this tutorial.

I take lots of pictures. I'm not the best at getting the right shot, so I'll admit that the more pics I take the better chance of a good one to use on a layout.
My hubby actually takes really good pictures, so when possible the camera is in his hands.

My problem is that I don't understand exposure & shutter speed and all those photography rules.

I've enjoyed learning some photography basics from Lissa at So Many Crafts.

Here's a link to pointers on taking pictures of layouts for our blogs!

Here's a link to basic camera info.

I also really liked this one,
How to organize your digital photos

There's more info on her blog, just check out the other options on the top of her blog.
Lissa is also a very talented crafter, so check out her regular posts & see what she has created!

I also found this little gem on Pinterest

When taking pics or cropping them, keep these rules in mind

Thanks for checking out this week's tutorial.

  2. This was a really helpful post as I take lots of digital photos. I really found the link to storing the photos helpful. While I do have a back up system for my PC, I realized the photos my hubby has taken are on his PC and not backed up. I need to get those on a DVD. Thanks for the great suggestions!
