Happy Spring Forward Day! Hopefully you have set all your clocks ahead one hour and don't feel too robbed of that extra precious hour of sleep we loose this time of the year!
I have a great crafty blogger to introduce to you today that may perk you right up! Fiona, from Craft Bug Mum, resides in Lincoln, United Kingdom with her husband and two boys and has her own "craft cabin" in her garden that her husband help her claim as her work space. She gives the credit to the crafty bug biting her due her visit to Oman for a holiday to see her brother. She used paper crafting/scrapbooking as a fun way to document that amazing adventure and she has not stopped from there. Her love for crafting landed her a spot on FCCB's recent top 5 with this very creative and yummy crafty treat!
She has quite an inspiring collection of birthday cards. Here are just a few of the creative gems I spied during my visit.

Now let's see what she has to say!
1. When did you start scrapbooking/paper crafting and why? The love of crafting has always been something I have enjoyed doing. It started first with cross stitch after a friend started me to help relax. It was so rewarding and I just thought as every stitch as a kiss so they were always made with love. Then progressing to paper crafting after a once in a lifetime holiday to Oman. I had such a lovely time while staying with my brother and his family, so many photos with lovely memories. It was all down to a friend at work who did scrapbooking and encouraged me to start. I still love looking back at it now, but gosh don’t your ideas/styles progress and change. One thing led to another and I started cards. I’m so lucky to have my own craft cabin in the garden where I love to spend as much time as possible.
2. What is your favorite type of project to make (i.e., cards, layouts, mini-albums, etc....)? I purchased my Cricut Expression after a friend got the baby bug, wow I thought I need one of those. Then can the Design Studio and they was no stopping me with my creations. I had always wanted to make a word book and that was my first project. It was great to see people’s faces when they received one and there was no stopping me. I think one year everyone got a card cut with their name, it’s so personal and something you could never buy.
3. What is your favorite product to use on your projects? Oh favorite products paper, inks, ribbon. I lovely spotty papers but the trouble comes with having to use them, oh that’s something I find hard to do. I love to keep them in my little paper stash. I love ribbon on my cards, layouts and books. Ink pads are something I think must come out every time I make a card for stamping or to be used with the finger dauber. I don’t know if you have every used a finger dauber but if not, go get one and give it a go. I love them for inking the edge of cards, or creating different effects when stamping.
4. What is your favorite Cricut cartridge?Oh my favorite Cricut cartridge. I just find it had to say because I have several. Lets start, I love Storybook it just such a fab cart with lots of different things all very workable. Super font, elegant swirls and frames. Combination of words which have been welded and designed for you. Indie art is another of my favorite carts, having the most wonderful beautiful Butterfly which I have used so many times. Also the guitar which has saved me several times on cards, it can be used in some many different ways.
5. What do you do in your spare time, when you are not paper crafting?Spare time, what’s that? I hear myself say. Well having two boys to taxi about and a lovely dog (Spencer) to walk that seems to fill my spare time when not crafting. I love the summer with my hubby when we can get out and walk across the fields in the countryside where I live, listening to the birds. I have four lovely nieces, two of which live close by who love to come and play in Auntie Fi’s craft cabin when they can. I love the occasional puzzle game, to relax in the evening, especially qwirkle (even better if I can beat my hubby).
I found some adorable banners she made for her nieces' bedrooms and I just had to share. What a great and simple idea to make a kiddo in your life feel extra special all the while adding a bit of cute decor!

Fiona from Craft Bug Mum is just a lovely and very inspirational crafter. She has a fun wit that runs strong throughout her blog, which pairs well with all her great projects. Be sure to pop in and sit a spell and share some blog love over at Craft Bug Mum! You will not be disappointed! I will leave you with this one last little tid-bit of bloggy goodness. Since she caught my attention that she has a "craft cabin" in her garden, I was thrilled to find a post covering some of her storage tricks for a sweet cozy space!
