Fantabulous Friday - April Showers

Hello and welcome to another Fantabulous Friday!
I'm so happy that you could join us today as we explore another great Cricut cartridge.

Have you checked out this week's challenge here at FCCB?
If not...you still have lots of time to get creative and enter the challenge...

Challenge #54 April Showers
Create a project using an umbrella or hat
Choosing a cartridge to explore was really simple this week! Our weekly challenge
lead me straight to this cute, cute cartridge...
April Showers.
This is one of Cricut's seasonal cartridges and it has some really cute, spring-time cuts!
Let's take a look at what this cart offers...
* 20 layered cuts including trees, birds, flowers and other spring-themed designs.
* 10 super cute spring phrases like...Spring Fever and Welcome Spring.
My first project with this cartridge is a simple but sweet spring-time card...
This was a quick little card to put together. The umbrella is cut at 4 1/2 inches.
I cut it twice and used pop-dots to lift it up. It's a simple card, but I love that it
is so bright and cheerful! And...I love the stamped sentiment!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I love the swirly cloud on this cartridge and for some reason,
I thought it would make a nice bookmark.
(There is NO rhyme or reason as to how my mind works).
I cut the cloud at 4 1/2 inches and the phrase at 1 3/4 inches.
Then, using my "flip" button, I cut another cloud for the back
of the bookmark...
A white gel pen, a bit of bling and some Baker's Twine finish this up!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The cuts on this cartridge are so simple and layer so easily that I also had
time to put together a 2 page layout!
All ready for me to slip in a few pictures!
The Spring banner was cut at 2 1/2 inches and I used pop-dots
between the layers. The cute little flower pots are cut at 3 1/2 inches.
For this page, I cut the birdhouse at 4 1/2 inches two times and used
pop-dots between the 2 cuts. The tree is cut at 6 1/2 inches.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I hope you have enjoyed our little exploration of April Showers!
It really is a fun, cute cartridge just full of spring designs.
As always, I'm so happy that you stopped by and I look forward to
seeing your creations on Challenge Me Monday!
Until next time,
