Scrappin' Saturday - Ohhhh Baby!!!

Happy Scrappin’ Saturday!!  Hi everyone!!  My name is Melissa & I am one of the newest Design Team members.  I would like to give a huge ‘Thank You!!’ to Robin for asking & offering me the Saturday posts for the next couple months...it means a lot to me! :)  I have to admit that I am a little nervous but also really excited & honored to be here!!
I have baby on the mind right now...as our family just welcomed a new baby niece!!  :)  What do you give a mommy-to-be who is not a scrapper, but would like something to document their baby’s first year?  Have you considered making a baby book as a shower gift?
They make such great personalized gifts, with the 12 month page layouts contain a calendar to allow for any special unforgettable items needing to be notated & have matching embellishments to coordinate with the month, while leaving space for pictures to be added onto the pages later.  You have so many ways to personalize the book, with layouts for the title page for the baby's name and measurements, furry friends for those who have pets, pre-pregnancy pages, or even the 1st birthday.

What kind of baby projects have you done?  Leave a comment of what you have done as I would love to hear & even see them!!  Hope you have a great weekend & are able to find some time to do some Scrappin’ this Saturday!   Thanks for stopping by!

  3. What a lovely gift! I have made my son's baby albums, two "abc" albums of his first year to give to grandparents, then I made a "first year" album for a friend who had a baby a few years ago. Baby books are loads of fun!!!

  7. I just finished a 13 month calendar for a friend with a new baby. It was so much fun to do. She can just use a sticker to note new things the baby does on the calendar part, add pictures to the top part of the page and then take it separate the pages at the end of the 13 months and place them in a scrapbook-baby's first year done.

  8. Hi Melissa,
I am new to this site and already feel right at home.
Great project! I have recently become a great aunt and made a card for my little great nephew. It's posted on my blog here http://wanderingscissors.blogspot.com/2012/03/anchors-away.html

    Happy Saturday back at ya!

  10. Great job Melissa on the Sat. post and congrats on your new niece. I have granddaughters barely 2, 15 months and 7 months (and one more on the way) so I scrap all the time. Some pages I do double or triple for my daughters to put in their books. Love your pages. Great job!

This is the last one I made for my friend Katie. We just so happened to be partnered in a swap and it was SO awesome to make something for someone that I know!
