Thursday Tutorial with FCCB......Birdhouses

Holly here with another fun fantabulous Thursday Tutorial for you.

If you've been in a craft store recently, I'm sure you've seen those cute wooden birdhouse's that call your name to purchase but your not quite sure what do with them.

Well, I found this video from Court at Court's Crafts on how to use paper to decorate a wooden birdhouse. Court turned her birdhouse into a ladybug house using paper, Flower Shoppe cartridge and Mod Podge.

Don't you just love Court's house?  If I was a ladybug, I'd totally be hanging out in there!

So, I've had these two little birdhouses just sitting in my "things to craft one day" heap pile and Court's video gave me the perfect reason to blow the dust off them and make something cute.

My two little houses are smaller than Court's since I purchased them at the dollar store awhile ago.  Yeah- to dollar store finds!

I made one house shabby chic using the Art Philosophy cartridge and the other house whimsical using the Cindy Loo & Ribbons and Rosettes cartridges.  You can find more details about my birdhouse's on my blog  Ribbons & Glue.

I hope Court's tutorial inspires you to run back to the craft store, purchase a wooden birdhouse and give Mod Podge a try.  Make sure you stop by Court's blog to give her some FCCB love too.

Thanks for looking and linking up with FCCB.

  3. Fab job Holly! And thanks for the spotlight! I'm so tickled! I hope people liked my ladybug house! Unfortunately I put it out too late and most of my lady bugs had flown away, but I will put more ladybugs in the garden and hopefully they will see their new home and hang out! :)
